I have a real hard time getting my cats to eat food that is good for them. I have opted to cook for my furry baby's with a lot of lean ground turkey, roast beef .chicken, salmon &tuna, but they hardly touch it. I add wheat germ, br.rice, potato, veggies, brewers yeast, fish oilcottage cheeze and no luck. Any magic to get them to eat it? Also treats, what is a good treat for them that they'll eat. They like Friskes & Temptations and now I've taken that away too. Help, they just could starve to death.
Hey Susan, I know you are really backed up. Science Diet has these new Heart shaped hypo allergenic cat treats. My Dylan loved to eat them. I am curious to see how "bad" they really are. I am sure they are horrible. No hurry. I read the ingriedients they looked more like something out of science lab. Very scary,
Missing my beloved Dylan,

Michelle,
I am so sorry to report to you my findings of Hill's Prescription Cat Treats. http://hubpages.com/hub/Hills-Prescription-Hypoall
Susan
Hi Susan,
Thank you for all the hard work you put into helping us feed our cats the good stuff vs. the bad.
Could you possibly tell us what you think of the ingredients in Purrfectly Natural Gourmet treats for cats? My cats have never liked treats I have given in the past but they absolutely love these.
Thanks in advance.
Rhonda
Rhonda,
Quick review for today with a full review to follow (when I get caught up)
Rice Flour, Oatmeal, Pearled Barley, Cellulose, Chicken Fat, Brewers Dried Yeast, Acidophilus Fermentation Product, Phosphoric Acid, Potassium Chloride, Salt - All bad ingredients.
Brewer's rice and brewer's dried yeast are by-products of beer production. There you go, your little pet gets what is left over after a beer run, the stuff not fit for human consumption.
Fermentation Products - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Sugars are the common substrate of fermentation, and typical examples of fermentation products are ethanol, lactic acid, and hydrogen. However, more exotic compounds can be produced by fermentation, such as butyric acid and acetone. Yeast carries out fermentation in the production of ethanol in beers, wines and other alcoholic drinks, along with the production of large quantities of carbon dioxide.
Potassium Chloride - used as the third of a three drug combination in judicial execution through lethal injection and used for making fertilizer.
Chicken fat - used to encourage a pet to eat ingredients they normally would not eat.
Cellulose - Recycled newspaper used for insulation.
Pet Food Danger Gauge = 66% Safe to feed.

Susan
Hi Susan,
Have you formed an opinion on "menadione sodium bisulfite". That was the first reason I skipped the Greenies.

I am working on providing more cat food and cat treats information. I, too, am a cat lover. Should you have a cat food/treat/snack you would like for me to take a look at I am more than happy to do so.
Thank you, Guru C
