To the writing staff of the Conan O'Brien show,

FYI: The female vagina cannot be seen from the outside. What is visible are the labia.

Conan O'Brien and his writing staff don't seem to know this about the female exterior sexual parts.

One of his opening jokes on Oct. 1, 2009 was about a woman on one of the reality dance shows who fell, exposing herself. It is really reaching to make a joke of this, but Conan makes a joke of himself by saying that the women exposed her vagina. He seems to lack basic knowledge about female anatomy. His sidekick then repeated the joke. Stupidity on the airwaves. Why should I be surprised.

I wonder, did the woman dance without underwear? Did she shave the area between her legs? If not, then all that would be seen would be hair. Big deal.

Just a few days ago Conan fell coming on stage. He should know how serious a fall can be; he had to go to the hospital. I know these opening monologues poke fun at everything, but to make such an obvious error about a woman's body, Oh...ridiculous.

Maybe it just reflects how man think about our bodies. They think that the penis hangs out, so the vagina is the equivalent in a woman and, therefore, visible. Sorry, boys, you need a speculum to open the area. That's how doctors take Pap tests.

So check an anatomy web site or a book before you talk about seeing a vagina.  Take a sex ed. course.
