Fibromyalgia Exercise
49Fibromyalgia exercises to relieve your symptoms.
Fibromyalgia is a very serious disease that millions of people around the world suffer from. There is no cure for fibromyalgia, but there are some ways to alleviate some of the symptoms associated with the disease. A great way is to exercise on a daily basis. There are no particular fibromyalgia exercises that will make your symptoms disappear completely, but there are a few that have been proven to really help.
The first fibromyalgia exercise is Yoga. Because the two main symptoms of fibromyalgia are anxiety and pain, yoga really helps to relax the body and to decrease the anxiety. Walking is another great fibromyalgia exercise. Try to start off with walking only 5 minutes per day at first until your body gets used to the exercise. Gradually increase to about 60 minutes per day. If you feel that this is too much for your body to handle, decrease the amount you walk per day. It is very important to be consistent with your exercises. If you want to exercise 30 minutes per day, try walking for the first 15 and doing yoga for the next 15, as long as you are consistent!
When it comes to fibromyalgia exercise, try to avoid sports such as basketball, and dancing, or other sports where you are required to jump up and down.
