Google AdSense Earnings: Estimate Your Future Earnings
80Introduction: The Google AdSense Earnings Estimator Hub
Find out whether fifty hubs means fifty dollars for me. More importantly you can use my Google AdSense estimation mathematical formula to help you get psyched about earning. Figure in variables that are not easy to see when you log into your AdSense account. This hub will help you look to the future and get motivated to keep writing to make money with Google AdSense. You may want to bookmark this hub and come back each month to figure your new AdSense earnings projections.
AdSense Revenue Rate Increases
Google AdSense Earnings Projections
The answer to the question: does 50 hubs mean 50 dollars of AdSense earnings? Wrong, I have not made fifty dollars yet with Google AdSense here on HubPages. But there is much more than meets the eye when estimating earnings. To get an accurate sense of Google AdSense earnings it's important to do some basic math to figure out your next year's potential. Some hubbers may be the creative writer types who may not be strong in math. This hub is for you to help you see how AdSense earnings grow.
Looking at your entire time here on Hubpages and your entire earnings is probably a poor estimate of your future earnings, especially if you continue to write and learn more about improving writing and earnings. You could easily start very small and grow exponentially in your first few months. I have. I do, by the way, expect to be at 50 dollars very, very, soon. I expect to double that figure in much less time than it took me to get there. So it's sort of like a snowball, as it rolls it's able to pick up more steam and more snow.
I now have fifty hubs, all of which use google AdSense ads. I have been on HubPages for about 8 months now, but using the 8 and the 50 are poor measures to use for estimating future earnings for me. I had 8 hubs the first month, 22 hubs the second month, 32 the third month, 36 the fourth month... You get the idea. So some of those 8 months I had much less than 50 hubs, others I had about half that, and recently I had close to 50. You can't exactly say I have had 50 hubs working for me over the last 8 months. If you average it out it would be more like 25 hubs over the last 8 months. Add on the fact that I spent a lot of time, which I enjoyed, writing goofy hubs with no real purpose to make money. I have figured out a mathematical formula to use to better estimate future google AdSense earnings.
Adsense Earnings Grow Like A Snowball
5 Factors That Will Increase AdSense Earnings
- You are constantly writing new content.
- You are constantly learning to write better quality
- You are constantly picking up more fans (traffic)
- You are constantly building a better reputation with search engines (back links, age, etc.)
- You are constantly improving your efficiency (writing and earnings)
How To Do The Math And Get Psyched About AdSense Earnings
Log into your AdSense account and get ready to do some math. Try using my formula to project your own Google AdSense earning potential for the next year. Here it is:
(M X 12) X [(T X 12/N)/12] = E
- M = Last Month's AdSense Earnings
- T = Total AdSense Earnings for all time
- N = Number of months on HubPages
- E = Estimated 1 year Google AdSense earnings
You Do The AdSense Earnings Math
Now it's time to encourage yourself and get really excited. Instead of looking at that total, you are going to look at the future by way of the present, or at least recent past. In other words, use your Google AdSense data for the last month, especially if you are rather new, to project your earnings for the future. If you have been around for a while, like 6 months or longer, then you should use a month. The reason being newer people usually create hubs quickly and data is constantly changing.
Now take that month figure, let's say its $17.50 for a month, and plug it into the formula. Also plug in your total AdSense earnings, and your number of months. For this example we will say you have been on HubPages for 6 months for a total of $41.25. Make sure you show your work and make your high school math teacher proud. So, for this example it should look something like this:
(M X 12) X [(T X 12/N)/12] = E
- M = Last Month's AdSense Earnings = 17.50
- T = Total AdSense Earnings for all time = 41.25
- N = Number of months on HubPages = 6
- E = Estimated 1 year Google AdSense earnings (this is what you are finding)
(17.50 X 12) X [(41.25 X 12/6)/12] = E
210 X [(41.25 X 12/6)/12] = E
210 X [(41.25 X 2)/12] = E
210 X [82.50/12] = E
210 X 6.875 = E
1443.75 = E (estimated next year's adsense earnings)
Just like your math teacher taught you, ask yourself if this seems reasonable. Actually, it does not seem reasonable, because you have only made 41 bucks and last month you only made around 18 bucks. The reason my estimator seems high is that it takes into account how fast your earnings are growing from the point you are now. How big is the snowball and how fast is it rolling? Sorry for the analogy, tropical hubbers.
So the question is, what are you going to do with all your money? Before you go spending it, you might want to ask yourself if you think you can keep the same growth rate that you have had for the past months. You are going to have to continue to work hard, pump out quality hubs, continue to learn at the same rate, and pick up fans to read your hubs at the same rate. This is more difficult than it seems, but is probably worth it in the end. You just might be able to go on that vacation to Indiana for Christmas you wanted to take! Just kidding, go somewhere really cool. (no pun intended)
Notice that with this way of estimating your Google earning potential, the figures are going to constantly change. The more you make this month, the more the projection for the next year will be. So as long as your earnings are going in a positive direction each month, you are probably growing your income at an equal rate of increase.
Use this Google AdSense earnings estimator tool only to inspire you. Please don't depend on the money, as the HubPages folks have made clear. If you get yourself in debt because you spend money you don't have, don't try to hold me liable. Only spend money you have to spend. Then you will have to work less hard making money and keep more of what you make.
So, once you take out taxes, give some to church/charity, buy your man/woman something nice, there's still at least enough money to get a cup of coffee to help you stay up all night and write even more hubs. Now that should get you psyched.
The really cool thing is that you have created something that will continue to work for you in the future. Passive income that will last as long as this Hubpages thing is around and working for your. You can do a little maintenance on your hubs and continue to see passive income each month. That's what makes this legitimately worthwhile, but as you can see it takes tenacity and hard work. You will be tempted to quit and you will get writer's block. Let my estimator tool be your inspiration to keep writing quality content even when the adsense numbers don't look great that day, week, or month. Delayed gratification is the name of the game for the greatest rewards, not to mention you like writing anyway, right?

free4india,
That's a great question. I would love for someone who has more experience than me on Hubpages to answer that. The longer I keep writing the more it looks possible. I think it depends on standard of living and how much salary you need to replace. That would be great though. You would probably want to transition out of the full time job if the opportunity came, so you don't shoot yourself in the foot.
Hey sweetpea, 100 hubs and counting and I'm not close to $100, lol. Not even $50. But I guess I'm not in it for the money. It's for THE LOVE! Thanks for a detailed hub. I will have to study it so when I achieve 200 hubs I have a better testimonial.
Hi Blake, 44 hubs in, and I still haven't hit my first Google Adsense payout, nor have I reached $50. Not even close. Never mind. I shall just have to keep on, keeping on (sigh!)
Storytellers and Amanda,
Unfortunately I think the genuine writers of Hubpages are making much less than the spammers. Keep writing anyway, as I know you will.
This is great stuff you're teaching here Blake Flannery!
perfect for me to use when talking about hub pages to my brother and a friend at a university, hopefully it will get motivated to join!EXTRA GREAT HUB, Thanks man!:)
Waren E,
It is difficult to explain to other people how earnings grow. I think it's easy to overwhelm clueless people with information. Using your own experiences and your own estimations should help get them interested.
Interesting hub and great motivator for writing.
I just write as a hobby. As far as hobbies go, it is a very cheap one. From that perspective, I think I am making a lot of money :)
shibashake,
I totally agree with your comment. I see it the same way. So far I have spent much less on writing and publishing hubs than writing and publishing music.

Blake... Thanks for the new method for calculating adsense earning for a year. Do you think one can make a living out of just writing hubpages... i mean replace a fulltime job ?
