Fox vs White House, Main Event!

It seems this administration is obsessed with Fox News and the President is being ill advised on many fronts but on the Fox "war" it is going to be disastrous. I have linked to an article that will give you more details but all this is doing is bringing more attention to the network and diminishing this presidency. Grant it, they are doing that on their own just by the policy decisions they are making, but this fued with Fox really is petty. They are to concentrated on the Hannity's, Beck's and opinion shows.

Fox ratings are through the roof and now to ask the rest of the networks to join them (the administration) in chiding Fox is really concerning. These networks are in the tank and their ratings are going to fall even further if they decide to attack Fox as well. Apparently this administration can not be tasked, criticized or scrutinized without getting all upset. They do not want the other networks to follow Fox? What does this mean? Does the administration want the networks to just spew whatever comes out of this administrations mouth and disregard any fact checking, journalistic investigation or moral obligation to report news?

If it was up to this administration, the Acorn video would have never surfaced as it would have brought to much attention to them. As you can recall, most networks didn't even report it until there was so much heat that they had to. So the networks would have to sweep these things under the rug and forget about it because the administration says so.

People, we are heading down the wrong path and this administration is not hiding it. They are telling you exactly what they are doing and no one sees this. The old analogy " the best place to hide something is usually right in plain sight." comes to mind. What is going on here-every day this administration comes up with something that is disturbing. Are we so blind now that we can't see it or are we so paranoid that we can't realize it anymore. I refuse to think I am paranoid but who knows anymore. I guess I am acting no differnt than when the liberals went after Bush, the only difference is I am being respectfull of the office and still would like to make sure that all sides have the right to freedom of speech and THAT is what this administration is trying to circumvent by attacking Fox. I guess I am not being paranoid after all since they are telling me right to my face. I will not forget come 2010 and 2012, I just hope none of us will and we can salvage whatever is left of this country and bring back some balance to this government.

This how the Liberals fight: 'I'm not, you are!' They accuse everyone else of doing exactly what they are doing. They held posters of W as the Joker, then condemed whoever had the joker posters of O, this is the same thing. They do not believe in fair and balanced or what goes around comes around...

Dear ehern,

This is a President and a Congress that can't tolerate criticism of any kind. They are only interested in making sure the "media" hops to their tune. Fox is the only network that is fair and balanced and anyone who doesn't see that has never tuned in. What a sad state of affairs. Great hub!

This is a good hub and I think we will be hearing more about it because the freedom of speech is a sacred right as our first amendment. I heard on the radio today that the White House will schedule some people from their administration as quests on FOX. That is the only way they can dig themselves out of this hole.

rsmallory, exactly, we get tired of the same thing day in a day out and it gets tiresome, thinking we can't do anything about it. But, if we just keep our guard up and remind each other of what is happening we won't forget by the time 2010 come. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.

Pop, thanks. I know it gets boring writing about the same thing but I think this is one time we need to keep these matters in our current memory so we can remember in 2010. We tend to have short memories when it actually counts.

Pamela99, glad you enjoyed reading it. I agree with you, if this administration was smart they would schedule interviews with them and make a case for their policies instead of the attacks. I tend to give more validity to a comprehensive argument than a smear.

ehern,

After seeing and reading your articles, I am proud to be a fan of yours. The present administration is scared of FOX, there is know one else to bring out the truth. Transparency, ha! Why is everything so hidden? Don't read the bill, vote how I tell you.

Thank you Harvey, I appreciate you reading my 2 cents worth. I just hope Fox doesn't gave in then we are really up a creek without a paddle.

Didn't Robert Gibbs say that Fox isn't a credible news station, and they were angry that Fox, not Fox news, did not run the presidents's speech to congress or something. So Anita the Mao Tse Tung butt kisser is confussing Fox with Fox News and Fox Business, great watch dog. I'm a Fan, Keep Hubbing!

Jibberish, you are correct. I was watching Greta tonight and she mentioned their is a possibility that the WH will send someone to discuss the Health-Care. Did I here this right? Is this the beginning of the ice melting? Nah, I just think they realize it is not doing their cause any good but we still have to wait and see if they actually show up.

I saw one of the guys they sent, he was on in the afternoon, and he was down right arrogant and rude. They will continue with the Fox bashing, not realizing that over a million people tune into Fox every day. I hope it backfires.

I did't get a chance to see it. Did you get his name and which one of the "priorities" did they discuss?

This administration is becoming almost Nixonian in it paranoia. Anyone who doesn't BOW DOWN is on their "ENEMIES LIST". Rhambo and Axlegrease are on the warpath we'ed better scatter.

Tom, thanks for stopping by. That is a scary thought and know how that works, by the stories told me during my younger years by family members who experienced it first hand.

I think FOX is the "hot" news. I am not intend follow this news. But I also try to read it.

prasetio30, when the media purposely tries to avoid issues and act like it is non-news, that is when they stop serving the public. Report the facts, not made-up ones and you will find their ratings grow. I too try to read as much as possible, even if it is a different viewpoint. I appreciate you stopping by.

Great hub. This fight with FOX News is ridiculous and certainly not what the tax payers are paying them to spend their time doing. Their judgment really comes into question here. Why do they feel this is necessary? Why are they willing to invest so much time and effort into this? I want people with better sense and judgment running the country.

Thanks, I agree and if it were any other news media I would feel the same way. It is just to the point that you struggle to find the truth and in my view, the President has no business dictating to "News Organizations".

I am with you. Half of the American are blind as bats. I blame it on our educational system. The dumbing down of our kids, and the radical liberal ideology of the teachers and professors. I think I'm going to write about that soon. Thanks for the truth.

James, thanks for stoppy by. I have to agree with you about the educational system although my area doesn't suffer from the liberal ideology as much. One can only hope that America wakes up and starts realizing how dangerous this is.
