Followers of the famous radio show Coast to Coast, will know that Art Bell, the renowned host of the show, married a very young Filipino girl, shortly after his wife died, and he has had a child with her and gone on to have, what appears to be, a very successful and happy marriage. So it can be done.

But what does such a woman look for in marriage?

Certainly all Filipina women desire a stable lasting
relationship above all else. For this, they look to Western men as examples, who are, in their eyes,  a more desireable match than the local Filipino men who are often practise a double standard when it comes to their women, and who do not generally believe in divorce.

In reality Filipinas are known for having advanced degrees of education, literacy and professional careers and that makes her much more than a mere one-dimensional blowup-doll with an Asian body.  She is most often seeking challenges in marriage that extend to happy families, stable relationships and solid finances--and that is more than your average 'sex-kitten' wants. 

Of paramount importance to your Filipino girl is her family. Not just a baby but more likely it will be a number of children for her and so you should be ready for this eventuality when considering marriage. 
If  you desire a big family and lots of children you will be 'in sync' with your wife's ideals. 

Her ideals will also include, most likely, a church wedding, and that will, 82% of the time, be a Catholic wedding.  So you may need to consider conversion, if you are not already of that persuasion. 

The Filipino girl will always feel tied to her family, perhaps in a way that North American girls do not, and will want to help out her family in any way she can through the auspicies of her new husband.  So this is yet another consideration that cannot be overlooked in the search of such a wife, as it will be part and parcel of having and maintaining a successful marriage.
