Ingredients :
- 1 kilo tulingan(or any lean fish) steaks
- 2 tbsp calamansi or lemon juice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp crushed ginger
- 2 medium red bell peppers, cut into strips
- 2-1/2 cups thick coconut milk
- 1 can (227 g) tomato sauce
- 2 medium sayote, sliced diagonally
- 1-2 pcs siling labuyo, crushed
- 2-1/2 tsp rock salt
- ΒΌ tsp cracked peppercorns
Procedure :
- Wash fish steaks thoroughly. Sprinkle with calamansi or lemon juice.
- Saute onions, ginger and bell peppers in oil. Add fish steaks and coconut milk. Simmer until half cooked.
- Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes,or until cooked.
Makes 8 servings. You can use other fish.

I'll try to cook this recipe using the canned coconut milk, instead of the fresh variety. Hopefully, my dish will still taste as good as yours. Thanks for this exotic recipe!
