While browsing a local gift shop during the holiday season many years ago I was overloaded at the sight of so many decorations of all sizes, shapes and shades of red, green, gold and silver.  As I meandered the aisles there was one corner that captured me eye and heart. In that corner there was a display of carolers entitled "Byers Choice".  I stood there just admiring these figurines, their faces and the details that seem to bring these characters to life.  As you look at their facial detail you will see their faces normally pointing slightly up and their mouths open as if they are caroling to the world.  You can almost here the melodic notes of a different place and time.

Right then and there I decided that I must have one and after much deliberation I decided to purchase "Williamsburg Father".  That was my first piece and soon I had the entire family.  As the years have gone by I now have a home where Byers Choice carolers abound.

Byers Choice are hand crafted figures made by 180 artisans in Pennsylvania with a company owned by the Byers Family.  Joyce Byers started the company in the 1960's working in her home and selling the figurines locally.  She soon drafted her family into helping with the creations and her business spread capturing the hearts of people around the world.

I have visited their company which is housed in Chalifont, PA and have watched their artisans bring these characters to life.  Each caroler has a unique appearance, is affordable, and collectible.

Byers Choice has numerous carolers and themes.  Carolers can be Victorian,  Traditional an Historical, and Nautical. They have a series entitled "The Salvation Army" complete with bell ringer, baritone player and children collecting coins.  The "Twelve Days of Christmas" popular series with each of the days being represented and a series entitled "A Christmas Carol" including Scrooge, Marley,Tiny Tim, and others from this beloved Dickens tale.  There a Carolers and Santas from around the world and also a large selection of speciality figurines. Singing cats, dogs and accessories are everywhere so one can create an entire scene for the holiday season.

Byers Choice carolers are also not limited to the Chritmas holiday.  Halloween, Thanksgiving and Spring and Summer carolers are not to be left out and add their presence year round.
