Olay Definity Eye Product Review - It Works For Me!
75Why I Need An Anti Ageing Eye Cream
Ok I admit it, I'm 30, fast approaching 31, and I have really bad dark circles and pigmentation around my eyes. I haven't had an early night for 10 years, I smoke, I drink and I probaby should look at least 10 years older than I really am due to my lifestyle. But I don't, and I realise how lucky I am. Up until last year I was still occasionally being asked for ID when buying alcohol (legal age here in the UK is 18), the year before that I was sometimes being asked for ID when buying cigarettes (Legal age 16). So despite my unhealthy lifestyle, I still look pretty damn good. Except for my eyes. And maybe a few lines on the forehead, but hey, this is about eyes!
I have been searching for well over a year for a product that would make my dark circles and dark pigmentation reduced. I didn't expect to get completely rid of them, but I wanted them less apparent. I've had the dark circles for a couple of years now, but the pigmentation just came out of nowhere. I'm not even a sun worshipper, think Nicole Kidman's skin tone and you'll be pretty close to my natural everyday hue. I could deal with the dark circles, a bit of concealer and they were pretty much gone, but the pigmentation? It looks awful and there's no real hiding it unless make up is applied with a trowel.
So which eye product would actually work for me?

Anti Ageing Products
I have tried more facial products than I can remember, from a cheap supermarket brand costing £5.99, to a high end £110 pot of 'miracle' cream. I settled on my moisturiser, but I still needed a product that would specifically treat my eyes.
(For the record, the £110 moisturiser was crap, there's no other way of saying it. Though luckily it was a freebie.)
So back to the eye products. I've tried so many specific eye treatments, from Boots No7, Elemis, Garnier, Gatineau, Liz Earle, Decleor and many others I've forgotten about as they were a waste of time and money.
I was getting really, really bored of my eyes constantly looking so bad. I use a 5 step facial regime 7 days a week, my skin looks good, but despite spending all the effort doing this, my eyes looked so awful.
Then I received a free sample through the post.
Olay Definity Eye
It looked very different to any product I have used before. There's a clear gel with a seperate spiral of white cream within the bottle. When you use the pump dispenser, both substances come out together. I got this sample 9 days ago, and by day 3 I had already noticed a significant difference to the dark circles and dark pigmentation.
The first time that you apply Olay Definity Eye, you can see a difference. The gel/cream has a illuminating effect which instanly brightens the eye area. I'm not using this to specifically get rid of lines as I'm lucky enough to be mostly free from that problem, but the product, as well as being a brightening serum, is also for the prevention and treatment of fine linkes and wrinkles. It seems to have eradicated the couple of tiny ones that I had and is keeping new ones at bay.
I'm now on day 9 of using Olay Definity Eye and though I've only been using it once a day at night, opposed to the recommended twice a day, I have seen amazing results.
I don't know if this product is for everyone as a specific eye treatment, but for anyone who has suffered the same complaints as me, the dark circles and pigmentation, then I can't recommend this highly enough. My eyes have gone from being dark and dull to bright and awake in a matter of days. I still have a some pigmentation under my eyes on the socket bone, but it is visibly reduced and the dark circles have pretty much gone. If this is the result that I've got in just 9 days, after a month I'll hopefully be completely dark circle and pigmentation free.
I've finally found a product that has actually worked for me, and it costs less than any other eye treatment that I've tried. The most expensive is definitely not the best in my experience.
More Anti Ageing
If you're looking for a relatively new and experimental anti ageing product, then I would definitely recommend Biocap anti wrinkle cream. Read about how hot sauce turned into an award winning anti ageing product here.
My review of Lush Skin Nanny, an amazing moisturiser that prevents and treats fine lines and wrinkles and provides SPF 30.
