Thanks for the encouragement, interestingly enough this subject surprisingly has MANY layers to it and involves a whole crew of people to put a comic strip together. This story got my hopes up and then dashed them. I have the training and background but don't comic book writers make more than 2,000 an issue? That's 24,000 a year before taxes, not big money...but who am I to judge?

I'm sure you can make lots more money depending on which company you work for, I would imagine that comic book writers get paid a lot of dough.

I don't imagine comic book writers get paid a lot unless they are extremely persistent and lucky, and they have contract negotiating skills of iron. Most of the small press companies that are willing to take more chances on new talent are not able to pay very much. As for the big companies, they're looking out for their bottom line too.

Tikaram sippy what title are you working on?what company?Adam roll13 there is a lot of money in writing comics,but you have to be good just like anything else,Like Bendis,Brubaker,claremont,also a lot of writers write multiple books,It's better to go creator owned thru a company like Image,or even get a publisher,a lot of movies coming out now,are coming from comics,its not just superhero comics that's making it to the siver screen.
