Find Your Own Way Out

Julie is troubled on every side. She is in total darkness with no light to guide her. Stumbling along the way, she is bumping into everything. Needing a way out of this total darkness, she starts looking to find her own way out. She looks in her cupboard for a light so she could find her way out. She finds nothing there. So she goes to her bedroom and finds nothing there. There is nothing in her house to shine her a light to get out of this darkness she is in. Her reflection in the mirror seems to be screaming at her, "Find your own way out".

Sitting on her bed contemplating what to do next, she gets an idea. 'Maybe I don't have to find my own way out,' she thinks. 'Maybe there is someone out there to help me.' Getting excited she goes out the door and walks down the street. She goes to a neighbor's house and knocks on the door. A handsome young man opens the door and asks her to come in.

"Can you help me to find my way out?" she asks him.

"I'll do my best."

Excitedly she replies, "O.K! Come with me then!"

He then follows her back to her house. She leads him inside and down the steps to the basement.

"See what I need help with?" she asks him. "I can't see a thing to find my way out of this darkness."

Puffing his chest out, he replies, "Sure, I know exactly what to do."

He then walks back up the stairs, to the door and turns on the light switch.
