While the economy may be a little sluggish old classic muscle cars are one part of the economy that doesn’t really seem to be affected. There are many cheap project cars that you can pick up and restore. Once you get these restored then you can usually always find a buyer that is willing to pay your price that you want for these project cars.

You can find cheap project cars many places, online auctions, online car magazines and if you are driving down the road, many times you will find the best deal sitting right along side of the road. 

To start any project car you first have to find a car. Make sure that you know what you are buying.. Research the project car before going out to purchase it. Cars are more valuable if you have the numbers matching, meaning the numbers on the car and the engine match as they did from the factory. Even if they don’t have matching numbers you can still sell the car for a profit if you want to.

Restoring the car will probably be your biggest expense if you are doing it yourself you will save money,  but you will spend a lot of time searching for the right part. Most of the time you will not be able to go into a parts store and get a part that you need for your classic car.

Once you get your car fixed and on the road you will be feel that sense of accomplishment that you have a classic muscle car that many people only dream about owning and you will look and feel so young driving your new restored baby.

You can show off your muscle car at local car shows, or go to car meets with it. Many drive in restaurants have weekly meeting where you can take your car and meet up with others in their classics.

Nothing can even come close to owning and driving a restored classic car, especially one that started out as a cheap project car.
