How to find expensive keywords

This article will tell you my way of finding top paying, relevant, expensive keywords when writing an article, Using and tracking keywords is important for not only your AdSense earnings but also making sure that the keywords or phrases chosen are not only relevant, but effective in giving you a good chance of reaching the first page in the google search engine results, and making money online with AdSense. I recently wrote an article on my blogs making money at hubpages, and had a lot of emails requesting to know what I do to make money using high paying keyword research. In another article I showed you how to use the Google AdWords tool, and signing up for AdSense. I would like to think that my way of explaining is simple and easy to follow, as I had great difficulty in my early days trying to decipher the underlying help certain people were trying to give within their articles. Lots of them contradicted each othe,r so this is my way, which may not be the way to do it by a rule book, but it has worked for me and is not so complicated.

Expensive keywords

Using your Google AdWords Keyword tool, type in the keyword or phrase that you wish to think about using. This could be anything that is relevant to the article that you wish to write. I am going to use this article as an example of how I found a few expensive keywords, or keyword phrases to input into my hub.

  • Title
  • URL
  • Summary
  • First paragraph
  • And content relevant

On deciding I wanted to write about keywords, I entered this into the generator. I then used the show CPC to give me a price for each keyword. This can be found under, choose columns to be displayed. I wanted to have a variation of monthly searches with some low and another over the thousand mark. I tend to ignore anything which shows a full blue bar as this indicates too much competition, as i'm not that much of a hot shot to take it on. The ones I liked the look of, and you will note that they are expensive keywords in my eyes as opposed to 4 cents. I try not to be greedy, and I am realistic in my earning potential, but not so much as to make nothing.

  • Expensive keywords: Global monthly search 1,600
  • Tracking keywords: Global monthly search 720
  • Using keywords: Global monthly search 2,900

In British pounds this ranges from 81 pence to £2.44 which is a nice return, dependant on what percentage I get which can vary.

Using keywords

I then think of my Title, which you can see, and utilised all three related keyword phrases into this and my URL. My first paragraph will have my keywords in the text and I sometimes bold my main keyword, which in this instance is expensive keywords and maybe put it into italic as well for better formatting when the google crawler comes scanning my page.

Now I am no expert on this subject but there are lots of hubs you can read and most of them have different views, so do what you are most comfortable with, and in no time you will find your own style of layout that works for you.

You can then jot down a few questions someone like yourself would use when typing something into a search engine to find the content of your page. This is called making your article SEO, which means search engine optimized. For example on this article you may have typed in.

  • Find expensive keywords
  • How to use keywords
  • Tracking keywords
  • How to reach the first page on google
  • Using expensive keywords
  • Top paying keywords
  • High paying keywords
  • High paying AdSense keywords
  • Making money with hubpages
  • Making money with AdSense

As you will see all these questions are relevant to my article, and by adding hubpages it will allow anyone looking for this type of help to be directed to my page. Now this may appear to be a big no in receiving AdSense earnings as we all know only a small percentage from the hubpages community will click on your ads. This may be so, but it will increase the traffic to your site, which in turn will drive you up the google search engine pages, and maybe one day allow you a spot on the coveted first page.

Tracking keywords

On the flip side of this, from the advertisers point of view, they will want to know that people being directed to your page are being given the correct information, and also the advertisers have a chance of selling a product or service from your written work. Tracking keywords is part of the game, and allows them to see whether the AdWords they have paid for are making any money from your articles.

If you have 100 people clicking on an Ad, and no sales from these clicks, then it is not cost effective for them and will give an indication of maybe the content not being right for their advert. Imagine how much this costs them per click, so tracking keywords will tell them not only if the keyword is right for their advertising campaign, but also if that particular keyword is bringing in any sales.

We must also track keywords we are interested in as they can change all the time. For example you may be reviewing a new product on the market, and once this item becomes more popular, hence the price of the keyword will change accordingly.

This article should now have given you a little inspiration in getting started on a new hub, or maybe revising your older posts to optimize your chances in the search engine results. Expensive keywords do not work for everyone, and remember using and tracking relevant keywords will enhance your chances of success with Google AdSense.

I gained a lot from your hub. I am a new hubber and still trying to find out what is the best way to do things. I have changed some of my hubs outlay, as I have learned about the keyword value to a hub. Thanks very much BB
