Not everyone can build their own solar panels but that doesn't have to mean that you cannot have cheap solar panels for your home.  Once you know exactly what it is that you really are looking for, it's pretty easy to find.  It may just require a little lateral thinking to keep the price down.

Here are our three tips to finding cheap solar panels...

Ok, so you know a little diy and can make your own.  The best way to lower the cost of your solar panels even further is to use broken solar cells.  That's right - broken cells. 

Did you know that a solar cell works even if its just a little piece of a little piece.  So many people break them and then don't know how to rewire them so that they work again.  Get your diy guide out, buy all your components and pick up cheap "broken" solar cells for next to nothing.

So you don't have all the tools or the skills to build your own but you've noticed that there are some really good ones for sale on ebay or craigslist and now you want to buy them second hand but you don't know how to install them.

Buying a diy kit will give you all that information and will even help you to understand how they work a little better. 

So you don't want to go installing your solar panels and you just don't have the skills to build them, but you really want to be able to benefit from renewable energy.  The best option is then to get someone else to build them for you.

This sounds like an expensive alternative, but in a recession it's far easier to find people who have skills and time on their hands who would be willing to do the job.  Scout around, if you supply the information guide, the components and negotiate on wages for time and labour, you will definately be able to get your solar panels for a fraction of the cost.
