Finding My Place Amongst Strangers
62New Hubbers Welcome
When you join Hub Pages, it seems sometimes like you stick out like a sore thumb. You read other peoples hubs and see all the great comments and wonder why you don't recieve the same. In my short time on Hub Pages I have found that you get what you give. It took me a while to catch on to the importance of Forums, especially the Hubbers Hangout Forum. I often see alot of posts about "how to make money" or, "Who here is making money?" It would be great to sit back and chill out with other hubbers, reading their hubs, commenting and continuing the conversation, relevant or not and just get rich. It is not going to happen, at least not overnite, it takes patience, endurance, and drive.
A little advice from a new hubber...
First of all, I have read some of you new Hubbers hubs and although some were great some were just substandard. I am by far a Journalism editor or critic, but you new guys from all around the world, why do we need for you to tell us "how to get Laid By Indian Girl'? I don't think there are many people here who care to know how you lay an indian girl, but I find it absurd. I am sure you are trying to find your niche here in the HP Community and I deeply respect that. Write about you, your life, things from your country. This is not a "post some hot chicks and get ranked on google" I should think we have higher standards in this community. Do not mock HP for it can jump up and bite you in the Uranus.

yeah, it is a cool palce to find a lot of stuff and to make some friends actually. Thanks
dori
Dori - I agree! There are probably a group that thrives on that topic, but I think the majority here run deeper, share their inner struggles, whatever they may be. These are the ones that feed my soul, create the bonds, share the friendships. I am your fan!
Thanks Candie, appreciate it!
Just do what I do dont read it and dont reply to any of his posts on the forums. You have given him publicity in your hub and even bad publicity gets him noticed. I just have fun, read what I want and ignore that I dont like. But thats just me !
youre' right BC, I never thought of it that way, he probably doesnt even realise it. Ignorance is curable.
dori
He actually does realise it, hes a clever bugger, excuse my language lol !
Now deff love the new Avatar, that will deff get you noticed more ; )
Bc that is my daughter, she said i could pimp her this weekend to see if traffic rises!! LOl The apple doesnt fall far from the tree, she added this, I will keep it for a couple of days
I have often wondered about that contingent. India seems to have more google clicks than the rest of us. Their top searched google terms? #1 is HOT! followed by girls, wallpaper, logo and pics. We can tell where their minds are. So it seems this tactless subject may indeed seem to have revenue potential.
Therefore using your daughters pic may get you more adsense clicks in the early morning as that would be evening in India? lol
I am not even sure I would like that but my daughter would get a kick out of it!! I am just going to keep her pic up for the weekend, we have a bet, and she is winning.
Right on target, Dori! Great messages for all the new hubbers.
Thanks Tom!
Dori
I have enjoyed all of the Hubs I have read that you have created. Hub Pages is addictive, so I've learned. I think I'm going to force myself to take a few days off. :-)
