55When it comes to finding network marketing leads, finding the right people is crucial to your MLM success. Just how crucial is it? It can make or break your business. Here are some things you want to look for and look out for.
Attitude
You and I both know that with running any successful business, a lot of it comes down to having the right attitude. You can have the greatest idea ever but if you have a bad attitude, the first obstacle you deal with can break you. This is the same for network marketing.
You ideally want to choose people who are enthusiastic and have a great attitude. Let's face that facts. Most people who join MLM's don't make money. No arguing here. Why is this? There are a whole list of reasons but one fo the main ones is that people just quit way too soon. What makes them quit so soon? Their attitude.
You see, when looking for network marketing leads, the people who show that they have a great attitude are the ones who are most likely to persist and stick it out when things get hard. Most people, sadly, don't have sustainability, that is, they can work hard in the beginning but after a month or two, if they don't see money coming in, they will quit.
If you find people with the right attitude, meaning they understand that setbacks and obstacles are not only part of the game, it's necessary for growth, they will be able to hang on during the most difficult times (which we all know is the first 6 months).
Weed out the Bad
This may seem harsh but you will have to get rid of the bad people. By this I mean people who have a bad attitude about the business. Now, there's a difference between skeptical and bad attitude. Just because a potential lead is skeptical, it doesn't make them a bad lead. Most people are skeptical at first, you know this.
So what do we look for? Stories. Find out about past experiences where they were meant with a challenge but stuck with it and ended up succeeding. A good group of people are those who play sports. They are competitive by nature. If you play sports, then you know losing is part of any game.
How do you handle yourself when you are being beaten to the point where there's almost no chance of winning. If you can tell that your potential lead is a type that will give it his all even if he's losing, then you have yourself a winner. If you meet someone who already beats themself up with negative self talk before the game even begins, then you probably have yourself a dud.
Bottom Line of Finding Network Marketing Leads
A lot of this is a numbers game. The more people you recruit, the better the chances you have of finding someone who will take the business to another level. Realize that bad attitudes are contagious. It will effect your downline.
Don't accept someone into your downline for the sake of recruiting someone. It's hard, true. Everyone wants to get anyone that will give them the time of day, but you need to look at this in the long-term. A quick buck today can cost you down the line. It's not always easy to find the right network marketing lead but when you do, the rewards can be tremendous.
