If I choose the category money and employment (usually a profitable category), and then the subcategory resume, I am presented with several results try it and see what you get).
At first glance the results above don’t look to bad. The top product in the category is selling well. It has a gravity of 69.34 (not a bad gravity number, but not great for the top listing in the category). Let’s change our search and see if we can’t find something better.
Look what happens though when I change the search to subcategory “Home Business” (try this, as well, and see what turns up).
Now we’re getting somewhere!
The first four listings in this subcategory all have gravity of 100 +. We’re possibly finding some competitive markets here. The first product in the listing above is a Forex product, the next two are affiliate marketing products, and the third is a keyword tool for niche marketing. We now have three prospective markets to look at.
Let’s just take the first one “Forex” and see what happens if we search with that keyword.
Yes, there are a number of Forex products with 100+ gravity, and if you continued through the search listings there are pages upon pages of Forex-related products. In other words, the marketplace for products related to Forex is highly competitive, and is a prime example of a good start when you’re searching for a market to work within.
