Fire in Las Vegas Hotel
65Fire at the Monte Carlo Hotel
Having seen pictures of the fire at the Monte Carlo Hotel, I feel compelled to write something about it. Pictures I saw were on television. Fox News.
The fire apparently started on the roof. There were four hotel workers on the roof with the fire looking extremely hazardous.
Traffic on the streets was at a stop. This included local traffic and tourists. This also looked like a dangerous place to be.
The fire on the hotel appeared to be spreading very rapidly. One reason I feel I should write about this is to alert people visiting such places to the seriousness of reading the information on exits when entering your room
Usually these places have information available to be read in case of emergency situations. How many people take the time to read these?
The fire in Las Vegas had people in three hotels evacuating. This should be a good reason to have your important things near your doorway, or where they can be grabbed in such emergencies.
Another important idea, is have your children ready to be gotten and taken out at a moments' notice. Have them clothed in pajamas or some type of clothing just in case of emergency.
Thinking ahead for emergencies might just be life-saving. What do you think?

Here in the USA I have heard they will supply rope ladders to high-rise buildings for use in fires, etc. If not supplied, you might could purchase or even make your own. You would want to make sure they could hold the weight needed.
Thanks for your comment, S. bjp
I absolutely agree. Even on planes, how often do we tune out the attendants as they go over the safety instructions? It's a good idea to always be prepared.
