One of the most nifty features of using Mozilla's Firefox to surf the Internet is the way you can use extensions to interact with the web.  These extensions range from speeding up the browsing experience to be able to access Twitter from your sidebar.  Since Twitter is all the social networking rage, you may want to be able to access it easier than from the web site or your cell phone when you are on your computer.  There are several Firefox plugins that let you do just that.

Three of the most powerful Twitter extensions for Firefox include TwitBin, TwitterFox and TwitterBar. TwitBin uses the sidebar to let you tweet directly from there. It allows you to send links to your followers as well as view your followers, you are at replies, your direct messages and the public timeline from the sidebar instead of visiting Twitter's web site. It takes up a fraction of the browser screen.

TwitterFox is located in the lower right hand corner of Firefox and pops open when you click on it. From there, you can update your status, read your followers tweets, delete tweets from your timeline or retweet. TwitterBar allows you to update your status right from the address bar. It even lets you know how many characters you have left in your tweet so you do not go over the 140 character limit. This is the least intrusive of most Twitter Firefox plugins.

There are many more Twitter Firefox extensions out there that not only let you interact with the social network from your browser, but they also allow you to change the way Twitter works.  You may find one Twitter extension that works very well for you, or you may end up using multiple plugins to get exactly what you want.  No matter which way you go, take the time to find the right extensions to get the most out of the Twitter network.  You will not regret it.
