RV Travelling

If you love the idea of traveling all around the country, but abhor the thought of camping out on a rough underground, with hordes of raccoons and bears just waiting in the trees to average your tent, then chances are that RV camping is for you.  While I like getting out in the wilderness as much as the average guy, I also like my creature comforts.  Traveling with an RV, or recreational vehicle, they seem a little stereotypical, but it definitely has some advantages.  It's a great way to get around, but still not have to rough it in a tent or pay exorbitant hotel room rates.  Of course the price of gas is not going down, but overall it's a pretty luxurious and inexpensive way to travel.

RVs are made specifically for and designed by the engineers to be convenient and comfortable homes and travel vehicles.  The man I get to wear going in a hurry, but they certainly do so in comfort.  It really is, just like taking your home with you.  I can imagine a more perfect way to travel around North America in style.

There are of course multiple options to choose from when picking out and buying your RV.  When someone says RV, I'm sure the first vision that comes to mind is that of the Winnebago style RV where the driver sits inside.  But there are also other options.  There's the bumper pull, and fifth wheel style as well.  The bumper pull model is a little smaller and easier to haul, whereas the fifth wheel style, is bigger and gives you more room.  The size of your traveling crew or family, is really the biggest indicator of what size the vehicle you will need.

The Winnebago style, or more commonly referred to "motor home", is mine and many others favor of first choice when it comes to taking your RV on the road.  These machines really have just about everything you'll ever need and then some.  Big queen size beds, heating, air-conditioning, ice makers, refrigerators, entertaining units, and just about anything else you can cram into your regular home you can find space for in the motorhome RV.  Now that's traveling in style.  There's a reason why this is the most pro-choice amongst a seasoned RV campers.

Well fancy conveniences are nice to have in your RV, they do come at a cost.  That's much a price although there is that the consider.  While talking about in his maintenance and all the utilities and systems required to back up those items.  You know the regular stuff you have a home like Hydro, power, gas, water, phone, sewage, Internet hookup, and cable TV.  Your RV needs to be accommodating for all those services will.  Yes, that means you will have a holding tank full of nasty stuff to deal with, as well as propane or butane tanks to heat the water and cook your food.  Gasoline powered generators are also essential if you plan on staying anywhere that doesn't have regular harder hookups.  You really need to be a self-sustaining unit.  Off the grid so to speak.

Traveling in an RV is a different lifestyle for sure.  It takes a little adjusting to, and I would recommend a few small trips in the beginning to work out all the kinks.  It is definitely a smaller space of living in a home, and you will quickly find out just how well you get along as a group with forced to live in a considerably smaller enclosure.  Once you get used to it, there's no better way or experience to have as a family than traveling the open road and seeing everything there is to see.
