Fish Pedicures...Make Your Toes Tingle

There is a new kind of pedicure that will make your toes sing.

This pedicure uses little fish called Garra Rupa or doctor fish that eat the dead skin off your feet and toes.

The Fish Pedicure was featured on an episode of Ugly Betty and recently on Good Morning America and is currently a pedicure treatment used by Yvonne Hair Salon in Alexandria, Virginia.

These fresh water fish use no teeth. They simply suck the dead skin off. The sensation is described as delicate kisses.

According to the salon owner, customers receive a standard pedicure after the fish pedicure procedure. The fish pedicure makes the standard pedicure process easier.

The technique is patented. A full body fish treatment is currently under development.

With the amount of dead skin that accumulates on our feet these fish will never go hungry.
