One of the best fitness marketing tactics that I know of, and that will bring in tons of new prospects and clients is the effective use, and application, of testimonials.
Every fitness business owner should be using testimonials in as many of their marketing campaigns as possible. Why?
What someone else has to say about your service is one thousand times more effective and powerful than anything you could say about yourself or your service.
Since you're the business owner people understand that you are probably willing to say just about anything to get them to spend their money with you.
You'll tell them that you'll help them lose weight, you'll fix their back, that they will be more financial successful after working with you, and more attractive, but it doesn't really mean anything to them because they know that you're going to say that.
A powerful tool that you can use to really build your credibility is the proper use of testimonials. You want to use social proof to show the prospect that you can deliver the goods, and what your clients say about you will have a much greater effect than anything you could ever say about you.
There are different levels of testimonials. on the lower end of the spectrum we have text testimonials with first names only, and then text testimonials that give first and last name and possibly some information about them, like what they do for a living, and then further up the scale we have text testimonials with pictures.
Now those are all good, but if you really want to prove to people that you're the real deal, you're going to want to add audio and/or video testimonials.
One of the best way to do this is to carry around a little video recorder in your pocket wherever you go and whenever someone says something positive about you or your services just bust out that little video recorder and get it on film. There are cameras today in the $100 to $200 range that plug in really easily into a computer and the contact can be immediately uploaded and on your website within minutes.
Another powerful form of testimonials is the before and after testimonial. This has worked wonders in my own fitness marketing campaigns as well as in the campaigns of many other personal trainers I know.
The power of testimonials is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the world of fitness marketing. Use them everywhere, and use them as often as you can
