Five Bucks a Day: Review

5 Bucks a Day by Dennis Becker
Finally, finally I've found a book on Internet marketing that I can relate to! I'm going to take my hat off to Dennis Becker because this is one guy who walks the walk. His book is simply called "5 Bucks a Day".
His strategy is sound, and his advice is common sense. The Make Money Online market is dominated by get rich quick strategies. If that's what you're after I suggest you look elsewhere because this book is about building an online business with a solid foundation, rather than about making a non-sustainable quick buck.
What Dennis Becker tells you about is his ah-hah moment, and how he put it into action. He'd been struggling with Internet marketing for several years, while running another business. That business was in decline and he needed to make up the cash shortfall. The problem was that he wasn't making steady money out of his Internet marketing efforts, either. He had a goal, and had no idea how to go about achieving it because he was distracted, and let's face it the Internet is the best distraction there is.
What was his ah-hah moment? It was when he realised he didn't need to continually go after the next best strategy for making money. All of those ebooks, mp3s, videos and courses on how to make money were hindering him rather than helping him. He already knew everything he needed to know to make money using Internet marketing. His problem was focus and consistency. Solve that, and he had a shot of achieving his goal.
In his book he outlines how he started with a goal, and broke it down into smaller goals. In his case a project that would make him $5 a day. That doesn't sound like much...but his goal was 50 of these projects in a year. Do the math and you'll get the idea.
"5 Bucks a Day" is full of common sense suggestions on how to maximise your efforts to make money using Internet marketing. He leaves the ways you do it entirely up to you. That is because your experiences and skills and ideas are different to the next person's. He stresses that most people already have all the skills needed to make money online, all you need to do is apply those skills.
On top of the book Becker also provides a messageboard on his site for which membership comes with the cost of the book, making it even better value. Having sampled the board, I have to say it's one of the more welcoming and open minded I've come across. Even better, it's a one off payment, where most of these kinds of offers have ongoing membership fees.
I've started at the beginning and am putting his strategies into action. I will make an update in a month on my progress, and see if Dennis Becker's ideas have worked for me like I think they will. Solid progress, in my opinion, beats flash in the pan progress hands down.

Not as well as I'd like. I think the idea is great, but my main problem is application! I can see how this would work for someone who is, maybe a little more disciplined than I am. You really need that to make this work for you. I still like that he doesn't pull punches and say it's easy when it's not, and that he's right when he says that most people doing this have all the tools and you don't need every new eBook on the market. That is so very true. The truth is, I didn't try this for long enough. I really should update this hub.
Since i have the product, flyhigh, there's really no need to read your review. You are aware that all links are no-follow in the comments area of a hub, are you not? Just something helpful for you if you joined hubpages just to promote your site with backlinks. Have a nice day!
