A lot of people who want to get into internet marketing think that the best way to make money this way is to sell information products alone.  A lot of people don’t realise just how many people are getting very wealthy selling physical products as an affiliate marketer.

>

For example, internet marketing maven Deborah Carney is a successful online entrepreneur who has made money for many years doing affiliate marketing.  She has chosen to sell affiliate retail products online and has also earned monthly revenue checks from Google through contextual advertising every single month for several years.

While information products don’t have a physical deliverable and can be purchased straight away, there are a lot of benefits to dealing with retail products such as:

  1. Retail products are physical products and a lot of people still feel apprehensive about paying for something that they can’t physically receive.  A lot more people are interested in shopping online when it involves a delivery person bringing them their actual purchase
  2. People who buy products online become loyal customers so they will likely be back for a future purchase if they have a good experience buying from you.
  3. People who buy online often tell their friends and can help give you referral business.
  4. When you sell physically shippable products online you can create your own branded store.  If you sell someone’s information product only and they go out of business, you’re out of business (even if it’s just temporarily). It’s easy to expand your product line(s) when you’re selling online products.
  5. There are a lot of niche choices for buying retail products online and the world LOVES shopping on the internet. Despite financial problems in the global economy the number of product sales continues to increase which creates a lot of opportunity for retail affiliates

> If you’re not yet doing any affiliate marketing, you can learn a lot about the various ways to go about doing it.  Deborah Carney of Team Loxly is known as a maven in the industry and she provides a wealth of information for people interested in making money through retail affiliate marketing
