If you have found the car of your dreams (whether it is a classic car or a luxury car or something in between) for your wedding day and are thinking about putting a deposit down, you should stop and read this. Putting a deposit down on a wedding car is an important step. Here are five things that you should do or confirm before you sign a contract and get down some of your hard-earned money.

1. A lot of times you may be in a rush to get out of the office and to your next appointment with the caterer or with the reception hall that you forget to read the contract. Reading your wedding car contract is probably your best defense against a bad deal, so make sure you do it. If you have the time, you might want to take the contract home with you and read it in the comfort of your home, where you can take your time and you won't feel rushed. That way, when you go to sign the contract you don't have to spend a lot of time, but you still know what's going on.

2. Check with your spouse before signing the contract. This may seem like a no-brainer, but a lot of husbands don't check with their brides to be until it's already too late. This is essential if you are going to be renting a car that is a bit out of the ordinary. If you don't think that it's necessary, think of it this way: you would want your wife to tell you that she is renting you a powder blue tuxedo for your wedding day, wouldn't you? The only reason you wouldn't run it by her is if you were afraid that she is going to get angry, so you might as well save yourself a nasty fight on your wedding day and have it early.

3. The next thing you might want to check is whether or not the agency that you are hiring your wedding car from is reliable or not. A great way to find this out really easily is to ask them for some references. If they are able to whip out a sheet with a list of customers who have been happy, you are going to know that they are concerned with quality. If they give you the runaround or are unable to give you a list, you might want to be a bit weary.

4.Double check the dates. You may think that this is being a bit paranoid, but double checking the dates of your car rental is going to be really important. It might just save you a lot of trouble and a bit of panic when you realize that you got your wedding date wrong and you're getting married a week later. Wedding car rental places have seen this before, so they'll probably do this for you, but if they don't, make sure the correct date is written into your contract.

5. Don't forget about your wedding party. If you are wondering how your wedding party is going to get from point A to point B, you may need to rent cars for them as well. It is going to be a lot easier to arrange them at the same time as you do your car, so make sure to get a good head count and rent enough cars at the same time.
