Use #1 for the Cricut system

Whether you’ve chosen to buy the original Cricut or one of the more recently released models like the Cricut Create or the Cricut Expression, you’re probably very anxious to start putting your Cricut to work. Will you work on a scrapbooking project? Maybe you hope to use your Cricut in a project decorating your home? Your Cricut machine will do both of these and more.

The most popular use of a Cricut machine is, of course, in scrapbooking. Creating custom titles for scrapbook pages is easy using the fonts found in many different Cricut cartridges. In fact, each machine comes with its own cartridge that includes a full font. In addition, Cricuts are also able to produce frames and borders for the pictures you choose to highlight on your pages. Your pages will look better than ever once you’ve gotten familiar with your Cricut machine. Take your scrapbooking to the next level at home or out and about with the brand new Gypsy by Cricut.

You too can make these cards

#2 and #3

Greeting cards present another great opportunity to use your Cricut machine. Forget buying mass-produced greeting cards that everyone has already seen. Using your Cricut machine you can create customized cards that are perfectly suited for your intended recipient. A birthday card for the little princess in your family or a thank you card for your grandmother are both easy tasks with this handy gadget.

Professional-looking signs are simple to create with a Cricut machine, too. In fact, using vinyl stock rather than traditional paper stock will allow you to create letters that can be easily mounted to blank signs. You may choose to make a basic sign for your next garage sale, or a whimsical yard sign to announce the birth of a new baby. Your only limit is your creativity.

#4 and #5

You may opt to put your Cricut to work for your child’s next birthday party. Rather than selecting stock birthday decorations from a party supply store, you can craft customized decorations and accessories that perfectly match your party’s theme. You can create coordinated invitations, party hats, and even goodie bags using designs from your favorite Cricut cartridges. You can even put the birthday boy or girl to work helping to prepare for the big event.

Home decorating enthusiasts will also find opportunities to use their Cricut. Your Cricut has the ability to create stencils of your favorite designs. From small motifs like hearts to elaborate phrases and sayings, many types of embellishments are easy to add to your projects using a stencil. You may decide to simulate a chair rail around your dining room by stenciling a row of stars around the room. Another option is to stencil your favorite words around the walls of your kitchen. Either of these is possible with your Cricut machine.

Can I use the Cricut on glass

It's possible using a glass etching solution and vinyl paper. You just cut the pattern on the Cricut with the vinyl and use the "negative" portion of it on your glass. Then use the solution on the glass. It's probably best to find a full fledged tutorial and get some cheap glass to practice on. I've not done it yet but it seems like fun!
