Sexy Kareena in five movies in a pack
72Jab We Met
The only reason I kept neglecting this film is due to Kareena Kapoor because I always felt she overacted (even though I find her extremely hot) in most of the films but I must tell you that one of the reasons for me loving this film is Kareena's acting. She has done a fabulous job and Shahid Kapoor has supported her brilliantly. I thank one of my friend for suggesting me this film as after watching it my love for our commercial Masala Hindi cinema has come back and I hope this love stays for a longer time. I must admit the second half of the film gets too boring and lengthy but the first half simply rocks and is just pure fun, even though the basic concept is lifted from "before sunrise" a full time pass movie.
My rating is 8.3/10 for this Kareena-Shahid movie.
Scaphandre et le papillon, Le
I was expecting much more after watching its trailers and I got very little in terms of the emotional content. No doubt this film is really beautiful to watch and has one of the best cinematography you will see on screen for a really long time but after all its brilliant technical achievements, it still fails to induce the pain which the character goes through leaves you a bit cold at the end. Since it is based on a real story, I feel it was just fine from the part of the scriptwriters to make it as realistic as possible but this one is too dry for the global audience to appreciate. This one is recommended to a certain section of the crowd who love their cinema to be extremely realistic and dry.
Overall rating is 7.1/10 for this movie.
The Sweet Hereafter
A film that leaves you with a taste that is both bitter and sweet after it is over. It is a film which is so different in its treatment and tone that you keep asking yourself if this was what I was looking forward to watching because after every scene it shocks you with the way it extracts all the emotional juices from it and serves them up to the audience. It so quietly and naturally unfolds the story and still manages to hold its audiences throughout the length is something which is so surprising. A film with a brilliant background score and outstanding acting scores for its brilliance, and storytelling and vision deserved much more according to me. An underrated film which should be watched for its brilliance and storytelling. A MUST WATCH.
My rating is 9.6/10 for this lovely movie.
August Rush
If you are looking for logic, then my friend this movie is not for you as you will laugh throughout the screening but if you are game for some good music and a magical experience, then you might just love this adorable musical. I loved its trailer and so I decided to watch this movie as I love musicals and what i got was good enough and more than what I expected even though half the plot is simply not believable and most of the time you might feel that you are watching a Hindi script turned into a Hollywood one. Still you would not feel bored throughout its length. Music is what will make the audience love this film, as it has some cute crowd pleasing moments and for that reason alone I can recommend this film a good enjoyable movie and can be watched with your loved ones.
My rating is 7.3/10
Life In A Metro
Anurag Basu started his film carrier with the popular remake of Richard Gere starer unfaithful (MURDER), then he came up with a love story named GANGSTER (I know the title sounds funny for a love story) and after that he came up with one of his best and most original stories of last year, i.e., Life In A Metro. After watching all his previous films, I knew for a fact that he was a perfect director for handling dark, bold, and adult subjects and he does not disappoint here with his effort. All the stories gel brilliantly and bring out each characters stories to the audience so beautifully, except for the Dharmendra and Nafisa Ali's story, all were pretty good. Its a good film and should not be missed if you are a hardcore Bollywood movie buff.
My rating for life in a metro is 8.7/10
