Flaccid Dysarthria is produced by a lower motor neuron lesion, flaccid dyarthria can affect one or more aspects of the oral motor system, depending on the site and extent of the lesion. The neuro transmitter conditions associated with this dysarthria are flaccid paralysis or weakness, hypotonicity and impairment of both voluntary and involuntary movement. Swallowing may be disturbed and the gag reflex may be impaired or absent.
