Where do you want to mount the Flat Panel TV?

  1. Mounting above the fireplace is a nice idea with which the area in the room is much available for other things. To have an effective viewing there should be a gap of at least 10ft between the TV and place we sit to watch. And also to have a best angle, the “tilt mount”, will suit better.
  2. Mostly today’s family rooms are designed in such a way to have more windows in order to have light and air which lessen the wall space in turn reduces the option of spaces to place the TV. To mount TV as well as to have more space in the family room, it is a best option to mount the TV in the corner of the room. If you want to view it from different angles accordingly, then the mount should have a swing arm to rotate and fix the mount in a custom viewing height.
  3. This is the option to fix the mount on the opposite wall. It can be a static mount or tilt mount. Tilt mount should be used if the TV has to be mounted higher than the eye level. To have the TV mounted at the eye level, the static mount can be used. With the help of a string or tape the TV can be simulated on the wall from which one can make the decision of which mount to use.

  1. This kind of mount is used, if you don’t have the corner space or wall space or fire place. Nowadays, in the market the Plasma TV or the LCD TV comes with table top mount. This mount is placed above the entertainment furniture in the room which provides a basic mounting option. In some TV, there won’t be the table top mount available while buying. In that case, a table top mount and the furniture to place on it are to be bought from the market.
  2. Nowadays almost all the entertainment centers are designed to have a back panel option to mount Plasma or LCD TV. It is also necessary to keep in mind the place for the audio-video equipment. If there is no place for them, then it becomes necessary to get the furniture for that. Likewise, if you are hiding those equipments literally from seeing, then there should be a way to send the infra-red remote commands to the device. This can be done with the help of the radio frequency remote or with some extender kit.
  3. In places like kitchen, usually a TV of small size like 20 inches is mostly used. So in those cases, mounting it to the bottom of the cabinet is the best option. Not only this will save the space, but also makes flipping up to watch the TV and out when not in use will be an easier one.
  4. A tilted or articulating wall mount to place the LCD or Plasma TV is the best choice in the exercise room or den. Depending upon the size and the position of the equipments and furniture the choice can be made.
