With new releases of flip mobile phones coming out every month, it can be hard to keep up with all the new options available to the consumer.  Mobile flip phones are generally around 3”x2”x1” when closed and then open on a hinge to reveal a screen for the menu and a 12 button keypad inside.  Various flip mobile phones models are available for all different carriers with many different brands offered.  Advantages of carrying a flip phone include compact size and little danger of accidentally making phone calls or opening data connections when the user isn’t trying to with the keypad covered at all times that the phone is not in use.  Many of the current flip mobile phones available carry similar features to the candy bar and touchscreen models that are being released along side of them.   Here are a couple new noteworthy offerings to check into.

T-Mobile Nokia 3711

Recently released with T Mobile flip phones is the Nokia 3711 model.  Compact and light, a screen on the front of the phone when closed tells the user the time with a simple and large digital clock.  The phone is 3G enabled and has a 2MP camera with video capture and playback functions.  Built in GPS capability and stereo Bluetooth wireless technology are included unlike older model flip mobile phones.  Email can be activated on this device, keeping the owner in touch with friends, family, and business colleagues all in one place.  With an FM radio and a music player the T-Mobile Nokia 3711 eliminates the need for yet another device to carry around.  Data cable, wireless headset and charger are all included with the phone to make sure the owner gets the most usage out of all the features.

LG Chocolate GiG

In LG flip mobile phones, the 2009 version of the LG Chocolate series also called the GiG is a great model.  The LG Chocolate line features top of the line music players and speakers to entice music lovers looking for a single great device to play music and keep in touch with friends and family.  Two display screens allow the user to access parts of the menu without opening the phone when a phone call isn’t being made.  Besides an FM Stereo and its music player capabilities, these mobile flip phones feature a 2MP camera, Bluetooth and A-GPS, voice dialing and voice recording  in a sweet 3.457 ounces.  While the phone only carries 1GB of data memory, it is able to accommodate an 8GB microSD card, large enough to hold a decent music collection.  An internal antenna ensures that you will have excellent coverage anywhere you go.

Sony Ericsson TM506

Another flip phone released fall of last year through T-Mobile was Sony Ericsson flip mobile phones model TM506.  A sharp offering that is a bit thinner than standard flip phones at .69 inches, the Sony Ericsson TM506 packs a lot of great features you don’t want to miss out on.   Notable features you won’t find just everywhere include live TV, HDSPA data capability, Bluetooth, email, built in A-GPS and MP3 player.

With the wide range of features offered, the TM506 would be a great phone for the serious businessman who prefers the advantages of flip mobile phones design or the younger customer who needs a combination of camera to capture pics of friends, great music player and solid mobile phone.  A microSD card slot and an internal antenna mean that you will have great reception and great tunes all the time.

In the world of cell phones, new releases are always coming out with features that trump last year’s models.  Whether you are in the market for new pink flip mobile phones or new flip mobile phones that feature more sophisticated features like A-GPS and Bluetooth capability, you are sure to find more than a couple options on any network.  Online reviews and spec sheets of specific phones can give the consumer an idea of many of each phones quirks without having to take a “test-drive”, quickly eliminating some possibilities and making the best choice stand out from the crowd.  One thing is for sure, if it has been a while since you have been in the market for a new phone the flip mobile phones being offered now surely capture some great features at a better price than you might expect.
