Fluorite is associated with fluoride which is used to strengthen the teeth and prevent tooth decay. It is also used as a source of fluorine for hydrofluoric acid and fluorinated water. It is also used as a gemstone and for making ornamental carvings.

Fluorite is said to cleanse and stabilize the aura and is believed to be effective against computer and electromagnetic emanations.
