Fluorite, also referred to as Fluorspar or Genius Stone, comes in a wide range of colors including yellow, white, blue, green, pink, black, brown, orange purple or colorless. It is an interesting and beautiful stone and most often has different bands of color in the same stone. A single crystal can be multi-colored. Fluorite is associated with fluoride which is used to strengthen the teeth and prevent tooth decay. It is also used as a source of fluorine for hydrofluoric acid and fluorinated water. It is also used as a gemstone and for making ornamental carvings.

Fluorite is said to cleanse and stabilize the aura and is believed to be effective against computer and electromagnetic emanations. Fluorite is a balancing and healing stone and is used to provide relief from pain, stress, depression and anxiety. It is also helpful in dealing with infections.
