I suggest that you read what people are saying about Focus Smart on one of my favorite sites DietBlogTalk.com - Focus Smart
Sensational.com is also a great location to read about Focus Smart and a whole lot more.
Overview
If you find yourself feeling foggy and forgetful when it comes to past events, current tasks, or new information, then you’re probably suffering from some degree of brain fatigue and decline. Don’t worry. You’re not alone. That’s little comfort, I know. But the health and wellness market provides ample options for remedying the situation.
Focus Smart® is one product to consider. Intended as a sort of alternative to Focus Factor®, or even an imitation of it, Focus Smart® is said to deliver nutrients that will support concentration and memory. Along with antioxidants and important vitamins, Focus Smart® works with a far-reaching blend that’s actually a little difficult to believe. In fact, I found Focus Smart’s® overall approach to be less than convincing, but we can look at the ingredients formula in order for you to find out for yourself.
Ingredients at a Glance
Focus Smart® contains Vitamins A, B6 & 12, C, D, E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Folic Acid, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Iron, Iodine, Magnesium, Zinc, Selenium, Copper, Manganese, Chromium, Molybdenum, Potassium, DMAE, L-Glutamine, Bacopa Monniere, Phosphatidylserine, Docosahexaenoic Acid Concentrate (15% DHA from fish body oil), Choline, Inositol, N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, Bilberry Extract, GABA (gammaaminobutyric acid), Grape Skin Extract, Grape Seed Extract, Vinpocetine, Electrolyte Mineral Complex, Huperzine A, Boron, and Vanadium.
Ingredients in Focus
Focus Smart® wants us to note the following:
Bacopa Monniera is an herb that may possess antioxidant properties. Traditionally, the herb has been used to treat epilepsy, aid memory capacity, increase concentration, and reduce anxiety. It may thus function as a nootropic, or a drug that enhances the processes of the mind.
Vinpocetine, derived from periwinkle, is an herbal remedy used to increase blood flow and oxygen uptake in the brain. It is thought to enhance the memory.
And finally, Huperzine A. This ingredient is currently under clinical investigation as a treatment for neurodegenerative diseases. However, negative side effects can include breathing problems, chest pain, diarrhea, vomiting, skin irritations, upset stomach, hyperactivity, and insomnia.
Pros
• Could work as a nice multivitamin.
Cons
• No official company website.
• Poor web presence on retail sites.
• Conventional and imitative formula does not convince.
Final Thoughts
In order to be convinced of Focus Smart®, you have to be convinced of the more popular Focus Factor®. I’m convinced of neither and am not impressed with Focus Smart’s® sort of catch-all approach. I prefer supplements that are clearly formulated for their task, supported by clinical evidence, and sold through a website maintained by the manufacturer. Focus Smart® can’t offer these things, so it’s best left forgotten.
