Focus on the Writing Topic

There are a few reasons to really focus on the topic when writing for search engines. The job of the search engine is to provide results that answer a specific question. The better job your piece of content does providing a great and detailed answer to that question, the higher it will rank in search engines.

My recommendation is to be as specific as possible.

When writing a how to article

• Include step by step instructions
• Include reference links and pictures if appropriate

When reviewing a product

• List the specifications
• List all features and describe them
• Include commentary and opinion on the product
• Write about one specific product and possibly two of them if comparing side by side
