There are some wonderful Chefs on Food Network. I will try to add each one and what shows they have. I do have my favorites so I will try not to be over board for one or another. I have more then one I love to watch. I will try to keep it short though it is hard to name just a few of them.

One of My Favorite Recipes

I love Paula! Any time you talk about good food you have to talk about Paula! I just love her, I love her recipes and how she makes me feel I could cook anything. She is great! Here is one of her wonderful recipes:

Paula's Biscuits with Milk Gravy

I don't care who ya are that right there's ~Yum~meee!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • Milk gravy, recipe follows

Directions

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in the shortening with a fork until it looks like cornmeal. Add the milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly until well mixed.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead lightly two or three times. Roll out the dough with a floured rolling pin to 12-inch thickness. Cut with a 2-inch cutter.

Place the biscuits in a greased iron skillet. Gently press down top of biscuits. Brush the biscuits with half the melted butter. Bake for 14 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the hot biscuits with the remaining butter. Split the biscuits in half and ladle milk gravy over the hot biscuits.

Milk Gravy:

  • 1/4 cup bacon grease
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk warm
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Heat bacon grease in a cast iron skillet. Add the flour and whisk until smooth and bubbly about 1 minute. Add the warm milk slowly and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a low simmer and stir, until thickened, about 5 minutes, adding milk as necessary to control the thickness. Season the gravy with salt and pepper. Serve hot over biscuits.

I love this show!

They show you how things are made. From packaged candies to just about anything you have ever been curious about. This show goes through the process of how it starts out all the way through the process of how it is made. The process ends with packaging and the item is ready for retail sale.

Some of the food will really surprise you when they show just how it's made.

This is a great show for the kids too, it is very interesting and entertaining.

Good Samaritan Network needs new toys and clothing for ages 5 to 13. Coordinator Nancy Chance expects more than a record 15,000 families to receive food, toys and clothing at the Christmas Give-Away on Saturday, when those who are prequalified can shop for the entire family.

  • Food Renewals Could Help Scripps NetsMultiChannel News27 hours ago

The well-documented success of its Food Network is helping not only to drive negotiations for increases in that network's affiliate fees, but could spread to other services, including its soon-to-be rebranded Cooking Channel and its most recent acquisition, the Travel Channel, executives said at an industry conference Wednesday.

  • Goffstown employees give food, not giftsThe Goffstown News30 hours ago

By Kathy Remillard Instead of the usual holiday gift exchange, town employees in Goffstown have decided to do something a little different this year. They’ll be using the money they would have spent on gifts for each other to purchase nonperishable food items for the Goffstown Network Food Pantry instead. The idea began in the Finance Department, when staff wanted to mark the holidays by doing ...

I am writing in reference to your show with the Neeley's. I have many family and friends that watch the Food Network, and I have yet to fine (1), including myself that likes this show. We do not tune in to see a gushy, phoney, constant bantering about their sexual life and how it relates to cooking.

There cooking should be the focus of this show. Paula Dean, and the Contessa have their husbands on, but do not put on a display like the Neeley's.

Just for your input, when this show comes on, I immediately tune in to something else. Why not put something good on like Big Daddy, and put the Neeley's on late night? Otherwise there are some wonderful shows I just would not want to miss.
