Food on the Map
67
When I was writing about Russian food (Belyashi), I found out that there is a village in Russia (Altai region) called Belyashi. So, I started googling different food names and to my great amusement I saw that one can make a feast just using a geographical map.
When you are hungry, your mouth is full of SALIVA (Azerbaijan).
Get you utensils ready- PLATE (Germany), FORK (Austria, US- NC,SC,MD) , VILKA ("fork" in Russian- Russia). Food will be cooked in a PAN (Chad, Indonesia) and in SKOVORODKA ("pan" in Russian- Russia).
If you are a DRINKER (US-PA), you can have BEER (Belgium, Somali, UK), or TEA (Indonesia) and COFFEE (Trinidad & Tobago, US-CA,VA,GA) from a COFFEE POT (US-AZ). You can have it with CREAM (US-WI). Healthier is to drink COLD WATER (US-KY), or SWEET WATER (US-AL,CO,ID,IL).
If you like vegetables, you'll be served POTATO (US-TN), BEETS (Netherland), MORKOV ("carrot" in Russian-Russia), for this you may have a DIP (India, Turkey), and CHESNOK ("garlic" in Russian- Russia) or even BURNT CORN (US-AL).You can have BEAN (Spain) or even BEANS (US-TN), RICE (US-IL,MD,CA,TX,KS,AL,OH,VA,WA,MN) or NOODLE (US-TX). Would you like CHILI( China, Colombia)? How about RED FISH (US-LA,SD) or WHITE FISH (US-MI,MN)? You may use some SAUSE (Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico) with it.
Do you prefer meat? TURKEY (US-KY,NC,TX,AZ,WV), LITTLE TURKEY (US-IA), or TURKEY FOOT (US-PA), or CHICKEN (US-AK)? How about HAM (Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chad, France, Jordan, Lebanon, Netherland, UK) or BACON (Philippines, US-IN,TX,ID,OH,MO,WA).
May be you prefer just a SANDWICH(Canada, UK, US-IL,NH,MA) or an EGG (Austria, Germany) and TOAST (US-NC), or BREAD LOAF (US-VT) and BREAD NUT (Jamaica).
All this will be your OBED ("dinner" in Russian- US-IL, Canada), or UZHIN ("supper" in Russian-Russia).
For DESSERT (Haiti) you will be served NUT (Iran, Pakistan) or many NUTS (US-AR), ALMOND (US-NC,NY,AL,CA,WI,AR), and FRUIT (US-IL), like APPLE (US-OK), WHITE APPLE (US-MS), as many as you want APPLES (Switzerland), PINE APPLE (US-AL), APRICOT (US-WA), STRAWBERRY (Jamaica, UK, US-AL,SC,AR,CA,AZ,KS), BANANA (Australia, Brazil, Congo, Guinea, Mozambique, French Guiana) and PEACH (US-TN,NC). You may have a PIE (Congo), or a PANCAKE (US-TX).
Russian food is served on the map too- BORSH (it's cabbage/beats soup, Albania), BORSCH (Germany). Into borsch they put SMETANA ("sour-cream" in Russian- US-TX), as well as BELYASHI (Russia) and LES BLINS (France) - check out my hubs about this food.
After eating, you may rest for a while and then make room for new food, a process called POOP (Mexico).
Sorry for such a boring end!

Haha :) My son’s friend pointed to me that there is a place called Poop in Mexico :) I though it would be a proper ending to food article….
