Foods that are rich in Vitamin C such as limes, lemons, oranges, grapefruit and vegetables like, broccoli, cabbage, celery, carrot, watermelon and apple have the properties of acting as fat burners. Pectin which is found in apples, berries and most fresh fruits limits the fat that is absorbed by the cells.

Eggs contain the vitamin B12 which is a key component in helping your body break down and burn fat. However, if you're concerned about your overall cholesterol intake, you can remove the yolk and still benefit from the high protein contained in eggs.

Not only do dairy products help you strengthen your bones, they can also play an essential role in burning that unwanted body fat.

Breakfast foods like oatmeal, skimmed milk and whole grain cereal and even spicy foods containing peppers are considered as foods that burn fat.

Certain fats, including olive oil, are good for you and your body needs them. In fact, olive oil is so good that it helps you burn fat and keeps your cholesterol down.

If you are going to eat beef, the best is the leanest cuts you can find by looking for "loin" or "round" on the labels.

Soybean is rich in lecithin, which blocks cellular fat absorption and promotes the breakdown of fatty deposits is also a recommended food to burn fat.

Breakfast foods like oatmeal, skimmed milk and whole grain cereal and even spicy foods containing peppers are considered as foods that burn fat. Black tea, coffee, and green tea also burn fats by catalyzing the action of getting rid of body fat.

Other foods that burn fat are cayenne pepper, cinnamon, ginger, beans, citrus fruits, bananas, garlic and essentially fatty acids.

Eat in moderation, go in for complex carbohydrates and whole grains, limit saturated fats, eat fruits and vegetables, rev up the metabolism and sure enough those foods that burn fat will do their job and exercise.
