56For God So Loved the World that...
John 3:16 in the NIV (New International Version) Bible says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. That verse got me thinking about it for a while. I do not have children, nor at this point in my life do I want to have children. But if I were ever to have children I don't know if I could do the sacrifice that God did for us by giving us his son. He gave us his son on earth for a few short years. He knew before he even sent him to us that he would be the one to die for our sins so that we would be able to live forever if we chose to believe in him and live for him. That was a humongous sacrifice. Even more so, considering what Jesus went through for us to give us the gift of eternal life. He was beaten, mocked and nailed to a cross for our sins. He could of at any time said stop I do not want to do this any more, yet he never did. He did what he did for us.
Jesus and His love
Would I Do What God Did For Us
Would I be able to give up my only son if I had children if God asked me to? I know that God would have a reason, but I don't know if I would be able to do that or not. God gave us so much when he gave us his son Jesus. Do you think we could just give a little bit back to him and follow him and live for him? All he asks is that we believe in our hearts and live for him in our actions in our daily activities and pray and be in his word. Can we show love like Jesus did for us? Can we tell people about Jesus and his love so there will be more in his kingdom when we get there. We can show love doing little things. God gave us the tools to use to show others Jesus's love. He didn't ask us to die on a cross for everyone's sin. His son Jesus did that for us. We need not to be ashamed of that because it is our ticket to heaven and eternal life. Think about that next time you see your son or your daughter or niece or nephew would you be able to do what God did for you with your child? I think we need to do much more and give God our all after all he did give us his all when he gave us his son. Just something to think about.

Only by the grace of God could a human mother do such a thing. I am not sure that there is a person on this earth now that has that kind of faith. We all may think we do or want too, but I don't think there is a one that actually does.

Yes, think about how that would feel to give up your child. That's mind blowing, and God did it for us because we needed it to restore us to fellowship with Him.
He loves US that much. A Love sometimes beyond human comprehension.
And good timing again! But this message is for always, not just at Christmas.
Way thumbs up!
