My friend Jaspal's birthday is September 7!
Jaspal has written 3 hubs and yet he has 49 fans and a ranking of 89! How can this be? I attribute this phenomenon to his generosity of spirit.
Jaspal is the sort of friend who listens and supports others, even when they are cold and bothered. Jaspal has sent me personal links that have helped me cope and has forgiven more than one of my insecure rants.
And there is the matter of his 3 hubs. When Jaspal does write a hub, he does it with intention and speaks from the heart. Subtle humor, spirituality and intelligence permeate his articles. They are well organized, meticulously written, and radiate warmth. Even the golf hubs absorb me- and I am not a golfer!
Bottom line? I feel honored to have Jaspal as a friend and I wish him the happiest of birthdays.

BTW, Jaspal once sent me a quote by Indian politician, strategist and writer Chanakya, stating, "There is some self-interest behind every friendship. There is no Friendship without self-interests. This is a bitter truth."
I admit it is gratifying to find a comment from Jaspal on nearly every hub I write. I have yet to discover what he gets out of the friendship, however-- I am NOT the hubster he refers to in his first hub, listed below, fyi!!!
