Wondering why this April morning

...... is depressingly flowing through

to meet the afternoon

...................I thought of you

...........Jack...

I thought of the pack of dogs who

.............wildly chewed away your life

and hid your body somewhere in

......... the marsh beyond my window

....................not leaving me anything but

........ the cross above your empty grave...

I thought of tomorrow's Passover

..........predating this years Easter by

...................four days

......wondering if there were any holidays

............for a ravaged in play Feline.

The day after the event I left a bowl of feed for the pack of dogs. They left the food untouched and they never bothered my house of cats again.
