Forest River RV

RVs have always been a popular mode of transportation in the United States. RV stands for Recreational Vehicle and some people live and travel in their RV full time. The cross country drive has long been considered a rite of passage for most Americans. Seeing the sights on the long road trips gives ample time to bond with your family and friends.

RVs can range in price from 10 feet long to over 30 feet long. If you want a compact, affordable vehicle for outdoor adventures, you can pick up a class C RV, which is the smallest class out there. If you are looking for more space and luxury, a class A RV will give you something to look forward to on the weekends with its long list of features and amenities. Either way, you can say goodbye to your camping tent, as both can sleep at least five people and feature full baths and kitchens.

Camping trailers are another type of vehicle that are perfect for offroad trips, such as fishing or hunting. These trailers can store vehicles, gear, and anything else you can think of. They can fit ATVs, bikes, and usually come with ramps to help with loading. Furthermore, they typically have standard fuel, air, and power wash stations.

Whether you rent or buy an RV for a quick weekend getaway, or long cross-country trip, you want an RV interior with enough space to live comfortably. The newer recreational vehicles have amenities that you may crave like cable TV hookups, a tempur-pedic RV mattress, slide-out space extenders, and hide-away sofas.

Are RVs really comfortable?

Looking at the photo above, you can see that the idea of "roughing it" in an RV is a misconception. Today's RVs (also called motorhomes or campers) are equipped with so many more add-ons and luxuries than in the 70s or 80s. You can expect to pay at least $10,000 for a used class C Forest River RV up to $150,000 for a brand new, top of the line class A Forest River RV. Some of the features that come standard on many RVs today include entrance steps, mud flaps, spare tires, carbon monoxide alarms, appliances pre-plumbed for propane, fire extinguishers, dinette tables, sinks, stoves, RV water heaters, automatic cut-off switches for interior lights, tinted windows, dinette booths, cup holders throughout the vehicle, radio, cd players, and iPod jacks, and heated bedmats.
