It sounds too good to be true. Right? While you are sleeping your well trained killer forex trading robot is monitoring the forex market and making trades on your behalf. You wake up and check your computer and are pleased that you made $350 dollars while you were sleeping. Having been spoiled by the previous weeks performance you are a bit disappointed but , hey, $350 a day is still not too bad. That forex trader robot rocks!

Ahhhhh! If only this tale can be made to come true it will be a wonderful world. But maybe, just maybe, it is possible. I intend to find out.

I have a background in forex trading as for quite a few years I worked in Asia as a forex dealer and trader. So the idea of a forex robot making trades was not so strange to me. In fact, I used to write forex trading programs on the old Telerate equipment. This was back in the 90's long before the Internet brought forex trading to online investors and risk takers. So the idea of a properly programmed robot trading forex automatically made sense to me.

The key phrase here is, of course, properly programmed.

Live Testing Using Real Money

I figured that the only way to see if the robot being promoted by AutoPilotForex was for real as a forex market money maker was to pay up for the program and to try it out live. I did start out with a demo trading account from Gain Capital and suggest that you do the same. You want to be sure that the robot is set up properly and making some decent trades before putting real money at risk.

One small thing that you should know is that once you decide to switch from a demo account to a live trading account it will probably take a day or two for the dealing firm to get everything in order at their end. For one thing your funds must be cleared as good funds before you can trade with them. You will also have to download the live trading platform and install it on your computer.

But to come back to the big question, can a forex robot, trading on its own, make money for you nearly five days a week? The markets are closed over the weekend but open 24 hours around the clock during the week.

It's too early for me to fully answer that question. I only went live with the forex trading robot on April 3th. However, I must say that the results thus far have been encouraging. Even after a couple of mistakes I made in tweaking the program the little tireless robot made $168.00 in two trading days.

Hopefully this will be improved as I feel confident enough to trade larger amounts. I set up the robot to trade only two mini contracts of $10,000 each against the Euro to get started. The size that you trade at is easily adjusted within the robot program.
