Many traders dream to be successful traders, but few would ever succeed. An novice amateur trader takes a look at the trading platform, makes a trade and loses, makes another trade and loses again. Traders lose because the game is difficult and they trade with emotions. They lack purpose and discipline. I understand this all too well because I had problems with these issues too.

Many traders keep making impulsive trades without thinking them through. They do not have any trading plans or a system, or worse, no money management rules. For example, a novice trader will cut his profits short, and let the losses run. Seasoned traders accept the importance of psychology, yet the novice traders will not pay attention to it. You have to practice sound money management and you should watch your account balance. The markets only exist because losers bring money into the market for the successful traders to win and we call this phenomenon the zero-sum game.

To be truly successful you have to become intuitive, and this simply means that you have to know exactly what you are doing. You will eventually get this ability after years of experience and learning from your mistakes. You can be independent, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can be free from routine. This is the life of a successful trader, and I am about to achieve my goal of being a full-time trader. There are thousands of places online that you can get advice, but you need to come with the motivation to learn.
