Forgetfulness

Are you a forgetful person? These days, I am forgetful a little more than usual. I think that sometimes forgetfulness is a disease. Well, not a real disease, but definitely a problem.

The reason I am so forgetful these days is that I have a lot on my mind. Right now, I am in the midst of doing the 100 hubs in 30 days challenge. I am also dealing with bulged discs in my back in which I cannot take pain killers for because my system reacts strange to them. I am also dealing with a personal struggle because even though I want to get back to work, I don't see how that is possible with my back the way it is.

The things that I have been forgetting are not major things, just minor things. I don't think I have Alzheimer's or anything like that. I think it is just because I have so much on my mind these days.

I have been forgetting where I put things. The other day, I forgot where I put my car keys. I will also forget what I am doing. I will be in the middle of something on the computer and then want to search for something, get to Google and then have a blank screen stare at me and wonder to myself what the heck I wanted at the Google screen. I will go looking for a piece of computer equipment, like my camera or my netbook and then forget what it was I was looking for. I will go into the kitchen to make myself something to eat and then forget what I wanted in the kitchen.

Part of my problem is that I have a lot on the go right now too. Not only am I doing the hub challenge right now, I also have five websites that I own that I have to add content to during the month. What I usually do is write ten new children's stories on my children's story website, then I create an audio version of those ten stories and put them on my other children's story website. I also write a journal entry once a day for my journal writing website. Once per month I post anywhere between 5 and 10 photographs to my photograph website. I also write at least one new children's book each month and draw the pictures for the new books as well.

Maintaining all those websites takes a lot of time and effort but I do enjoy every minute of it. However, at times, I do feel overwhelmed and when I am feeling overwhelmed that is usually when I notice I am being forgetful a lot more than usual.
