I have discovered the secret codes to turn any PC into Usain Bolt!

If you are interested in making your computer at least 300% better and faster than it is now, while making it far more stable at the same time, then this may be the most important article you will ever read.

It took me ages to figure this stuff out. I tell ya, it's not easy to get the right information on this topic. There are so many people out there just trying to make a quick buck.

But I will outline the steps here:

Step one: Clean out the junk.

This is cleaning away all your computer's background rubbish that it accumulates through churning its engine so to speak. This chaff can clog the engine to a near halt over time. There's a great free program called cccleaner that does this job better than any other.

Step two: Disabling windows anti-performance codes.

Did you know there are numerous codes on windows that slow down performance? Things like junky visual effects that actually make your computer harder to read and cheaper looking? And there are also things like indexing systems that simply nobody use, but they take up cpu memory.

Step three: Make sure you have all the windows updates.

This is crucial part of your computers stability for speed and stability in general. Windows update their systems regularly to bring more security, speed, reliabiliity and performance. Make sure this automatic update is on and working.

Step four: Check your harddrive for errors and fix them.

This is something you can't overlook. It is simple to sort out and can make all the difference to performance.

Step five: Secure windows. There are some great anti-virus, spyware and firewall tools out there. And guess what, some of the best ones are FREE. Get the ones that work the best, don't slow down your system and give you the best protection and SAVE you money on annual subscriptions you don't need to be paying!

They include AVG (anti-virus), Ad-Aware SE (spyware) and Zonealarm (firewall).

Step six: System tweaks.

There are numerous system tweaks you can make for maximium performance that do not change usability one iota. Technical things such as the hard drive partition and start up programs. And much easier to change than it sounds.

Step seven: Windows services.

There are loads of windows services running in the background that we don't even use. Turning these off has no consequence except better speed and reliability. Learn how to make windows better before the programmers will eventually when another few versions of windows comes out!

Step eight: Windows cache and registry defrag.

Removing the clutter from deep in the heart of your windows software machine is very helpful. Disckeeper is a great product for this. You can download a good enough version free on download.com or by searching google, look for disckeeper lite which is totally free, the other ones only have free trials.

Step nine: Dsl or cable tweaks for a lot more internet speed.

I hope this article has helped you. Your computer really can be changed entirely and work so much faster and better.

For information on how to do the tougher things to figure out I highly recommend this book by Kris Mainieri, PC Secret Formula

He puts it all in simple a-b-c steps that anyone can understand and it is so easy to turn your computer from a turtle into a cheetah, even if you are tech-illiterate. I've tried many things over the years to speed up my computer, but it was only Kris's cool and brilliant discoveries and simple system that delivered the rocket ship results I was after.
