Some people believe that it would be wrong to call a Fort Lauderdale sedation dentist and request an immediate emergency visit unless they were involved in some type of sporting or automobile accident. In my office pain IS an emergency. Anytime you have pain then that is considered an emergency and you should contact us right away.

There are two types of sedation used in my office.

1. Small pill
2. Laughing gas - Nitrous oxide

With the small pill you'll be able to sleep through hours of dental work. This is a great way to take care of years of neglect all in one visit. The pill is also used for procedures such as root canal which has always been known as a painful procedure. Today there is no reason to have pain during a root canal. You wouldn't go to a medical doctor and have surgery without sedation and their is no reason for not having sedation during any dental procedure. Someone would need to come with you on the day of your visit to drive you home.

Nitrous oxide which is also known as laughing gas has several advantages. One of the things most patients like the best about nitrous oxide is that once we close the valve to the gas the effects wear off within minutes. You'll be able to drive yourself home after our work is done.

We also cater to chickens. It's not your fault! Many people have had bad experiences going to "old school" dentists and now have a genuine fear of going to the dentist.
