A Republic, for witch it stands
A Republic, for witch it stands

Given President Obama’s propensity for radical thought, his background- his all out push for change, I became curious as to this President I originaly thought fit for the Office.

His insight and mind set. Where possibly his thinking is coming from. I am honestly trying to understand him, by looking at what he reads, says in speeches, the people he be-friends and appointments he makes. I feel I have stumbled upon something I personally find concerning.

I was looking into his announced summer reading, and found some Interesting, not alarming, but interesting books full of theory and possibilities. And it has made me question.

If I may:

I am speaking directly to one of his chosen books for my argument.

The Book, John Adams by David McCullough; pages 410 and 411. A Quote from Adams in a letter to his friend Rush. “A hundred years hence, absolute monarchy will probably be rendered necessary in our country by the corruption of our people!”

In his letter, John Adams was not proposing Monarchy what so ever, just saying it was conceivable in a corrupt society, making things ripe for take over, A reference to France at that time I believe.

But having been once an impressionistic kid in college, and miss-interpreting things slanted to a radical outlook. Having made those mistakes myself. I do believe that Ideas and Ideals can come out of books. Miss-represented or not.

That said and given Obama’s some what idealistic and younger aggressive mindset, that I have seen at times? And, adding to it possibilities of a more radical outlook on America from childhood as well as an aggressive Harvard Education? I have to ask- Is it possible?

Is it possible Our President views history, not as it was then, but try’s to apply it to us, Idealistically as times are now?

He seems, at present to need an escape, buffer time to re-calculate; and I am beginning to wonder if he is a bit axiomatic in his passion to his politics. Is he learning as he goes? Taking pages from impressionistic times in our Nations past history, Possibly miss-applying them in today’s affairs. Does he really have a firm plan? Or is he more loose- Eclectic?

John Adams proposed an Independent Executive, away from Legislative influences, wanted total freedom to appoint judges, make independent decisions. He, Adams, voted against the McLay Bill, denying Congress the right to dismiss cabinet officers. Claimed he felt forced to agree with President Washington at the time.

In truth He believed in solemn rights of the Executive, disliked dealing in political compromise. Seemed weary of compromise and political opposite. He wrote of his ideals in his pamphlets and in the papers he drafted that eventually became the Groundwork for the Massachusetts Constitution.

Thinking on this, and the fervor of idealism which to me President Obama sometimes shows. I Have to wonder if they share similar Personality traits.

Now we are told he is contemplating writing his own version of the heath care Bill.

I think of another one of the Books; FDR, The First 100 Days; and reflect on Shovel ready jobs. Temporary Jobs that last the better of 18 months, that can not stimulate a Long term economical growth?

I feel I have to ask the following questions.

Are the Czars a way to bypass the Cabinet?

Is organizing the youth Army a way to teach of so-called Change needed in the Constitution?… push it by rallying the vote with gang-like force to get his way?

Claiming the Legislative branch is broken, corrupt. Can he deal in compromise? Can he Stand the amount of time it takes for check and balance to work well?

Is this the Change he meant?

A one party Take over? A concealed form of monarchy?
Or at best, a change to exclusive powers of the Executive Branch.?

Does he see us as really that corrupt, that compromise and sense can not prevail, and we need to destroy check and balance?

I read most of the books he chose for this summers reading, and I came to See many examples of similar thoughts and Ideals all though them and I wonder of the Impressions he will draw from them.. Frankly, it has me re-questioning my View of this President.

How does this President really see this Country? Can he really handle, or tolerate this system?

I think now of when Our heath care bill passes- and it will. What if this Bill is really a mess, and he sees that it is? He does not have line item veto.

Will he be honest and say its no good for “all“ of America?
Or will he default to party line and say, “Here it is, I kept my Promise?”

Can he really handle the responsibility to administer to all people in the US, Or is his Vision more covert?

Will he miss-apply conceived History?

I am a little concerned.

The stuff that they do not teach you in school....

I sincerely believe that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding is but swindling futurity on a large scale.

- Thomas Jefferson

It is an axiom in my mind that our liberty can never be safe but in the hands of the people themselves.

When we point to the government for aid - three fingers point back to us. IN dollar terms consider each finger to be worth 25 bucks - That means a government takes 100 bucks in, gives us 25 dollars worth of value and wastes the other 75. We will pay for a minimum of 3 decades for the last decade of wasted spending. Only the rich are benefiting from all this crap going on. Stimulus packages and wars both are placing money into the pockets of the wealthy and taking from the middle class..... anyone with a brain to think for them self can see that!

When a Government is large enough it can hand out anything - it is also large enough to take everything away....

You should be concerned!! Just look into his eyes. What do you see? Observe his attitude, the way he speaks. It reminds me of a puppet...I wonder...

I am concerned also. The people haven't had representation in Washington for years. They laws and plans they pass are full of control and perks for lobbying corporations. Obama may have many good intentions but it may be far too late to execute any good or fair plan for the people.

It looks like the same old story with a shinny new cover. We won't know until he is done....but we may be done also?
