Most free anti spyware software also comes with a paid version of the software. This paid version is a definite upgrade from the free version because well, it's paid for. Malwarebytes is a good free program that is pretty easy to install. You can do a quick scan, or a deep scan of your system. It scanned my computer quickly. Malwarebytes is very popular solidifying its quality as a free anti spyware program.

AVG is another good free spyware program. A lot of people recommend it. I used it a few times, but I noticed that it missed some things. I still had pop ups and typical spyware and malware difficulties after wards.

Lavasoft makes the popular Ad-aware anti spyware software. While I did like it when the presence of spyware was just arriving on the internet, I feel it does not do the job efficiently enough anymore.

I use Spyware Doctor on my computer to remove spyware. I did have to pay for it, but it was worth it. I recommend Spyware Doctor. It has worked for me where other products have failed and actively protects my computer system from spyware attacks.
