TRY OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE CONTEST AND WIN A PRIZE

Armor Games is offering an I-pod shuffle with I Tunes card prize for top score if you play all 30 levels of Obsessive Compulsive. Part of keeping score is enabling the cookie to keep track of your progress. This game has sofisticated graphics with photo of a palm tree at night, the goal resembles a solar system with colorful rings. The mines resemble Spanish tile patterns. The music resembles greensleeves with strange cooing in the background. I think the developers were inspired by a dream trip to Morroco. The game resembles pinball machine except that you manipulate the ball's path with color cubes. One wonders if the game symbolizes the soul's journey to home?

Fast Games

The new game Doeo just appeared in Armor Games websites. The overall game is cheerful with 1960's doo doo lyrics and and brightly colored landscape. You have 40 seconds to capture as many unibrow wearing pink bunnies while they ride in a train, slide downhill via invisible roller coaster. The speed is manic but delightful so catch them if you can.

TWO THREE

This game with minimal graphics, rapid fire mathematical computations, and a very catchy tune similar to an electronic march prooves to be a very fun game. Two Three can be found on Yahoo games and since there is nothing to download you are ready to play in three seconds. Use the mouse to aim at falling numbers and the keys 2 and 3 to fire. Your goal is to hit the numbers with the 2 or 3 keys so that the end result is zero. Large numbers like 45 come wrapped like baseball bases.

GREAT LIVINGROOM ESCAPE

This is a short but sweet game that gamers love. This is not a speed game but how long you take depends on finding objects in the living room collecting them with a click of the mouse. Once you have collected the items then you need to assemble them. Obviously the key is in the fish bowl. If you are wondering how to solve this game which has no time limit just look for the comment posted on April 22, 2008 at 10:20 pm by yohomes103.

Games with a Narrative Background

Dark Cut

Dark Cut is one of the strangest online game that you can find on Yahoo's quick play that was developed by Armor Games. If you love those CSI shows that revel in body parts then you might like Dark Cut. When you imagine puzzle games do you imagine medieval surgery?

In level one my task was to remove the arrow from the captain's leg. Graphics deliver a cartoon like gore. The music is kind of sexy in a Depeche Mode's Mea Culpa style. Imagine music with Gregorian chants and electric syncopation without the actual monks and you have an idea a mystical tune. Goals for level one include sawing off pieces of the arrow and then pounding the stick through the other end of the wound using the arrow keys. Goals for level two include slicing boils on the patient's neck, using leeches and sutures. The goal is to save the patient's life. Hungry for tacos, anyone?

DARK CUT 2

Dark Cut 2 has slightly more realisic gore and can be found on the Armor Games website. You are a surgeon during the Civil War and your goal is to save your patient using low tech surgery. In level one you have a few seconds to work on an arm wound using a hot iron, administering several shots of whiskey for pain and using other surgical instruments. I think the hot iron is supposed to cauterize the wound. If you don't save your patient you hear a sizzling sound. The background sound consists of yelling that signals pressure to save the patient.

ROBOT JIM

Robot Jim is one of Armor's new games that you can find on Armor Games website. The background music is hip hop which complements cartoon like graphics. The wonderful tutorial describes that keys A and D are for walking left or right while the W key lets the robot leap. Clicking on the mouse is for shooting the ray gun. In this aggressive game your goal is for Robot Jim to survive.

With my game ability it is clear that someone else will win the ipod. I'm just barely past spider solitaire. But I do agree that games can be great to clear the head without something as radical as physical exercise.

Thanks for the info on the games.

Hi Zsuzsy Bee. Thanks for the positive comments. If she likes games she will probably find a new favorite at Armor Games website. :)

Hey Jason, Spider Solitaire is a great game. That Contest is hard but someone will be persistent to play all 30 levels. Yikes!
