Using pre-made scripts which include an admin control panel is a great way that anyone can use to set up their own online website business without needing to be able to program code or have any kind of technical knowledge or experience whatsoever, and without having to fork out a large capital outlay. Using a free script means that a low cost business start up become a virtually free start up - all you need is a domain name and a hosting accout, both of which you can get combined for as cheap as $3.75 per month from somewhere such as USA Hosting, which might as well be nothing when you are talking about setting up a business.

It's always worth having a good look around when choosing which script to use, but this is even more true when it comes to free scripts, as there are quite a few really bad ones out there, but there are also some really good professional ones out there that make their money by selling advanced add-ons or custom designs to users who want to upgrade a successful website business, or taking donations from grateful entrepreneurs - so it is therefore in their interests that you succeed wih your business (or they make no money at all) and they do everything to help you. Kaqoo has developed a unique concept in auction software which allows you to set up your own website business and have it up and running in an hour or so - and to instantly have items listed for sale on your site. In my opinion this is a huge bonus, as with a site like this getting the ball rolling in the first place is the hardest thing to do. If you have an empty site then people won't bother listing their items because they will assume that no-one is visiting the site and so they won't get sold anyway, and so you website remains empty and not making any money. You can set the amounts themselves, and they are payed in discounts off charges, so you don't have to pay out cash yourself.
• Newsletter function, for sending mass emails to members of your site.

Nothing is perfect, so there is innevitably a downside to using kaqoo. Adsense adverts will be displayed on your site and the revenue shared between you and kaqoo 50/50, whereas with other scripts you would be able to keep all of the revenue from adverts on your site. Members of your site who list more than 50 items for sale can also opt in to the adsense revenue share though, which does make it an incentive for people to use your site and make you money.
