Find A CVS Store

CVS is a wonderful drugstore that also includes a pharmacy in most of its stores. Before you can learn how to take advantage of CVS coupons you need to make sure you have a CVS store in your area. CVS has stores in 50 states. You can go to www.cvs.com and use their store locator to find a CVS in your state.

Sign Up For An ECB Card

Now that you have figured out whether you have a CVS store in your area, the next thing to do is to sign up for a CVS Extra Care Buck card. This card, sometimes called an ECB card, is like a loyalty card you would use at your favorite grocery store. The difference with this card is that it records your purchases and often gives you Bucks, or Extra Care Bucks, back to use the next week.

What Are ECBs?

An ECB, or Extra Care Buck, is money back in your pocket to use on whatever you want to buy. To even acquire an ECB you have to look through the weekly CVS ad and find out what proucts you will need to purchase that will give you ECB back. The ECB are printed when you shop and you take them back into the CVS store, usually within a month because they will expire, to use as cash. You can use them to buy more products that will give you more ECB back. By doing this you will basically get all of your CVS products for free. However, you need to optimize your shopping trip to make sure you are spending the least amount of money out of your pocket when you go on your CVS shopping trip.

CVS and Manufacturers Coupons

To opimize your CVS shopping trip, get the most ECB back, and spend the least out of pocket requires the use of coupons. Manufacturers coupons are available in a variety of places like your Sunday newspaper, magazines like ALL YOU and Redbook, the doctor's office, bulletin boards, your friends, neighbors, and family, or online from sites like redplum.com, coupons.com, smartsource.com, and afullcup.com

Free CVS coupons are available through the CVS website each week. Just visit www.cvs.com and click on In-Store Coupons at the top right. By clicking on that link it will open up a new window and show you all of the free CVS coupons available to you. You can print all of the coupons or click in the box next to each item you wish to buy and select just those coupons to print.

Sign up for the free CVS Email Newsletter

By signing up for the free CVS newsletter and a free account on the CVS website you can save even more money and get even more ECB. ECB card holders will receive special CVS coupons by email once a week or bi-weekly. Print out those ECB coupons and combine them with other ECB coupons and manufacturers coupons to save even more during your next CVS shopping trip.

Armed with your CVS flyer, manufacturers coupons, and CVS coupons, go into the CVS store and buy those items that will give you the most ECB back next week. Rinse and repeat. Now you are saving money with CVS.
